Love it! - Edit
Amazing vegan cafe with a lot of nice food and drink options. Loved the açaí protein smoothie. They also have fancy drinks like strawberry matcha latte. Food tasted amazing. Would recommend the bagels and breakfast burrito. Can’t wait to go there again.

Meh - Edit
Fancy looking and nice presentation but lacking flavor. I had high expectations with "top rated" label but didn't find food anything special.

Vegan and Ayurvedic, Yoga Classes - Edit
Relocated from Kent Ridge and rebranded as Ahimsa Sanctuary. This new outlet is much larger, with a 2000 sq ft space (5x previous space), offering yoga classes and wellness workshops. This is in addition to well-loved vegan and Ayurvedic (traditional Indian medicine)-inspired food, including smoothies, sandwiches, grain bowls, salads, and more. Would highly recommend dishes such as Birria-Style Jackfruit Tacos, Eggplant Dipper, Tomato Dipper, Lion's Mane Mushroom Pops, Croissant with Chickpea Mash, etc! Drinks are also infused with superfoods like beetroot, moringa, and ashwagandha; and other than the default Oatside oat milk, premium mylk options such as sugar-free almond milk or pistachio milk are available at no extra charge. Everything is wholesome and delicious, easily among the best vegan food I've eaten! Many allium-free options and customisation available.
Read moreThe yoga classes are also focused on philosophy and breathwork, plus there is a reading nook too. So happy that the sweetest and kindest owner Ash has finally managed to create what she originally envisioned pre-COVID! All the team members share the same values too - "Ahimsa" means respect and non-violence to all living beings, including self and others. Truly a sanctuary offering a respite from the hustle and bustle of city life, with a calming atmosphere and beautiful decor done up from scratch by the girls. LGBTQ friendly too, with a special soft opening during Pride Month alongside queer/ally-owned brands! Also supportive of various causes, such as having collab pop-ups and a monthly special smoothie with sales contributing to charity. A stone’s throw away from Maxwell MRT; also walking distance from Chinatown MRT.

Great café - Edit
We enjoyed our breakfast here very much! We had a bagel and a sandwich with homemade vegan cheese and pesto. They were both absolutely delicious. Also, they serve a great flat white coffee with oat milk 👍

So happy Ahimsa is here! - Edit
This vegan cafe stands out among all others. The food is delicious, thoughtfully and mindfully prepared and the prices are transparent by being all inclusive.
Read moreAll the staff are calm and friendly which affects the energy and feel of the place. Everything we tried has been flavourfully balanced. We have tried the Deluxe and BLT bagels which were deliciously fresh and balanced in flavour. We also had the Burrito Bowl and the Magic Shrooms. Every element is tasty and thoughtfully included, texture, crunch, flavour, creamy- the balance in each dish shines. We loved the home made kombucha and the cool as a cucumber water they greeted us with. We hope Ahimsa stays here for good🌟

Tasty vegan food - Edit
Ahimsa sanctuary really lives out its values! No mock meats here, just tasty wholefoods cooked in dishes with imagination and use of spices and herbs to flavour. We had a burrito filled with kale, vegan pesto, sweet potato and tempeh with was very tasty. Has indoor and covered outdoor seating as well as takeaway options. Uses fans to keep diners cool - it's 31 degrees today and we are just right! Lovely staff and clean bright premises and toilet. We might just be back for breakfast...

pricey, food is mid - Edit
i’ve never left a sad review before but i was disappointed after visiting the new ahimsa sanctuary :(
Read morefood wasn’t anything special or fantastic, but was quite pricey. also, most options on the menu seemed to be spicy, and it isn’t as if their options are extensive to begin with. i think i’d have to try more of their food to leave a fairer review, but after this experience i wouldn’t go back again 😅
still, this might be for you (since so many people seem to rave about it) even if it’s not for me!
Cons: expensive, limited non-spicy options

Ahimsa Cafe, Singapore - Edit
Their website said open til 9 pm. I arrived at 8 pm. Staff smiled and said, "We're closed", expecting I cheerfully stroll off elsewhere. I explained my co-diner and I had travelled 1 hr on public transport specifically to eat at this venue. My co-diner asked about the 9 pm closing time listed on their website, and was advised that is their planned opening schedule from next month. Staff were utterly oblivious to the idea that it's an issue that their published misinfo wastes people's time and money.

Staff is friendly. The food taste healthy and not too salty. If you don't consume alliums, just inform the staff and they would be able to assist and share non-allium options on the menu.

Delicious food! - Edit
[SG, Vegan, Alliums Free options] First time trying the small cozy @ahimsa.cafe with @greens_hopper. Went on Weekday lunch time- cafe was packed.
Read moreAll foodie ordered were delicious & I was so impressed by the Deluxe Bagel. The tempeh bacon and scrambled tofu were such a good savoury pairing to the bagel. @greens_hopper also noted the rarely alliums-free pesto sauce (cool huh 🤩). I would recommend you all to try their bagel! I would so order this again when visiting.
Menu has clear indication on what contain alliums and what not. You can ask the staff too- they are friendly and helpful.
Pros: Delicious , Friendly staff, Extensive menu
Cons: Limited seatings

as an exchange student at NUS, i’ve sometimes struggled to find good vegan food in/around campus and so i was very excited when i discovered that ahimsa cafe was so close and fully vegan! it’s a great study spot with fun coffee&non-coffee drinks and the staff has always been very kind and helpful. also there’s a student discount!

Good vibes and food - Edit
Amazing service, food and coffee! Been there twice now, once for take out and once dining in and both experiences were great. Some items do run out early but they allow customisation which is great. I’ve tried a customised “comfort delgrow” (with pesto sauce instead of the default cheese sauce bc they were out) and a craft your own bowl “we ain’t shellfish”. Both were amazing and I absolutely loved the vegan garlic shrimps! Convenient location right next to the mrt as well. Highly recommend!

Cons: A teensy bit on the pricier side, Few seats to dine in
