Extremely delicious brownies - Edit
I tried both their brownies while visiting Jaipur. It's so carefully prepared with nourishing ingredients. I'm so glad more people have access to their lovely desserts in a place obsessed with dairy.

@BrundaSreedhar, Thanks for sharing your feedback. Glad you liked the brownies. Yes, we make it with organic cashews and almonds and carob. We also have Vanilla flavour. Now we have begun to serve dosa and idlis, with naturally fermented batter. Hope to see you at the cafe. We are also having dine in, especially for vegan guests.

If you have the chance to visit and meet the team, don’t sleep. Truly some of the nicest people and their purpose and vision is integrally present in the nourishing and wholesome food they create. I wish I could bottle it all up and take with me wherever I go.

A place that cares for community and the planet. - Edit
I have been associated with ahimsagram since its inception, and if i see my self as a customer as it gives me healthy food, i can trust their word, and it gives diversity of regional indian cuisines as well as world cuisines.
Read moreSome of the team members have travelled across the world and lived in communities so it give more of a feel of a community than a mere business establishment. You can walk in to the kitchen, see their store, talk about how they source their stuff or even govern with self management. Its a place where you can talk about life and can learn from the conversations there.
The food is largely organic, oil free, no white sugar or animal products. Being in a 100 percent vegan cafe i dont have to take care of this or that i can sit relaxed and eat the food with full trust and enjoy it.
I also like that they try to be sustainable and use bio detergents and compost their kitchen waste, and also have small kitchen gardens, and even grow a bit of their food.
Besides they care for social change and do talks and other programs.
I enjoy their mung wraps as it a no grain diet and i can eat it every day and it also has some veggies.
Pros: Organic and safe food , diversity of indian regional and world cuisines , community spirit & place for engaging conversation

Perfect environment - Edit
I was stuck in Jaipur needing some place with good vibes! When I saw Ahimsagram on happy cow I knew I should go there! I went by myself, I met the community and ate a really nice vegan food! This is a place not only for eating: it's to experience flavours, good talking, good people! It's so cozy that I came back to Jaipur after a week just to see them and, of course, eat a very well balanced and healthy meal. I recommend for everyone! I hope I come back soon

Not your average cafe - Edit
I very much enjoyed my morning here - it’s worth the visit to make an experience of it. If you’re after a quick bite on the go as a tourist, the location is a bit out of the way and you could end up spending hours there!
Read moreIt’s in a residential area and looks like a normal house from the outside (we sat outside for a while not knowing whether we could go in - seems it’s fine to just go through the gate!).
This is less of a cafe and more of a community organisation. The philosophy and history were explained to us. We were encouraged to get involved with the making of our food, which was lovely. The rooftop garden was brimming with climbing spinach which we could nibble straight off the plant.
We had banana/fig shakes, dosas, Diwali sweets and some other traditional Indian savoury items. We didn’t see a menu when we were there, apart from the meal plan for dishes that are distributed to the community, which we had the option to come back and try in the evening if we wanted.
I was surprised how cheap it was in the end - after travelling India for a while I was half expecting them to ask us to pay as we feel and pressure us into paying more, but the prices were very reasonable, honest and set. My impression is this is a truly good organisation with no hidden agenda.
It’s a very quirky place that you will no doubt find interesting and inspiring if you are into sustainability and community building.
Pros: Lovely people with a strong ethos, Good, healthy food, Great prices
Cons: Out of the way, Slightly confusing if expecting a normal cafe, We weren’t shown a menu/prices at the start

Thanks Kulski for your articulate sharing. Yes, we also learnt to have a clear menu with prices so people can even know that the prices are low and be relaxed while ordering stuff. I am glad you felt safe and could trust us as seeing you as community and not an alien thing called 'customer'

The first vegan cafe & meals served with lot of love - Edit
This place is so much more than food ...the quite, earthy, minimalistic ambiance - a complete ecosystem - where everything speaks about sustainability.
Read moreFood is thoughtfully prepared with the choicest and freshest ingredients. They have an organic rooftop garden and many a time things are freshly picked/harvested at the time of cooking.
I am a regular now - as finding such a place in Jaipur in itself is a blessing which is also not so heavy on your wallet. It's not just eating the food but also the conversation that happens with the people around are so amazing. They operate out of pure love and passion - definitely worth a visit.
Pros: Organic Vegan Gluten free Food, Great people, Simple and calming ambiance
