Believe these great reviews! Alex Gooch is just awesome. The cakes, savouries, and snacks are delicious. Get there early before they run out of popular items. We enjoyed having lunch in the cafe.

The cafe itself is also bright and just so nice to sit and enjoy as many treats as you can manage!!

So many amazing options! Great to see a fully vegan bakery thriving (there was a queue when we visited!). Only problem is you will have difficulty deciding - unless you do what I did and order several items to eat over the next few days 😂

So I consider myself somewhat of a coffee and pastry nerd and I have to say that this place met all my expectations and more. Absolutely stunning pastries, coffees and bread. Prices very reasonable considering how much time and love need to go into creating these masterpieces. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about their products. Can’t recommend enough and we shall definitely be coming back.

Everything in this place is vegan, they just don't make it obvious. The coffee is divine and the cruffins (muffins crossed with croissants) are out of this world. #Veganuary

Vegan’s Dream - Edit
Fabulous plant based food - take away or eat in. We choose to eat in and had warm croissants with bacon, cheese and maple syrup - yummy. It took ages to decide what to eat as all of the menu choices are lovely - a vegan’s dream. Fab take away cakes, pizzas, cakes, sandwiches, and much more. The staff are very friendly - lots of places to sit - nice cozy room upstairs which was very popular. Looking forward to visiting again soon. #Veganuary

Fantastic Vegan Cafe - Edit
I was so pleased to find this bakery when visiting Monmouth. With everything vegan I could happily choose whatever I liked. The man serving was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I had a delicious pizza followed by a plant yogurt dessert, which was heavenly. The sun was shining and we sat outside despite it being October. I also bought bread to take home. I’ll definitely be back.

Love the building, inside and out, and the food is delicious. The toilet is upstairs so not accessible to everyone. Very friendly and enthusiastic staff.

It was lovely to have lunch here. I'm vegan and my husband is a vegetarian. I had focaccia with coronation chickpea and my husband a croissant with facon, cheese and maple syrup. Both lovely and normally husband won't eat vegan cheese but enjoyed. Also had sweet treat which were lovely.

I loved that everything is vegan so I could choose what i want with no restrictions. The food is high quality and absolutely delicious. I had a nutrient bowl which was satisfying, fresh, balanced and tasty. I left with an armful of pastries and bread. The shop is very well presented and doesn't obviously advertise as vegan, which I think is a business advantage, as the "v" word can put people off. Hopefully it will be around for years to come

A few things that caught my eye were the almond croissants, massive cruffins, inverted croissants, pizza and focaccia👀
We got a beautiful variety of pastries that we took home and then the next day, I got some focaccia. Everything was incredible, Alex is super talented and absolutely nails the vegan goods🤩🤩🤩Can’t wait to be back in Monmouth again to try more….(stay tuned)

Stopped in here for coffee and pastries - they had such a big selection it was difficult to pick just one thing! They had plenty of sweet pastries (filled croissants, donuts and cruffins), a couple of savoury pastries, pizza slices, breads and baguettes. We chose to have an almond croissant and chocolate cruffin, both were delicious and generous sizes. The coffee was also excellent, and service was very friendly.

Delicious vegan pastries - ALL vegan cafe - Edit
At first sight you wouldn’t think this artisan bakery and cafe was vegan. In fact when my husband found “meat” on his pizza he thought there’d been a mistake, only to find out that everything was vegan. “What everything?” The pastries are out of this world good. The pizzas are fresh and crispy. My favourite so far is the “cheese and bacon” croissant with maple syrup. You can purchase amazing sour dough bread (so good it reminded me of France), to take home so we enjoyed a beautiful breakfast and took the bread home for lunch. Staff are friendly and helpful. There’s more seating upstairs and it’s a bit quieter upstairs too so you can choose which you prefer. The prices reflect the quality so it’s not cheap but for this standard the prices are fair.
