Very tasty!

I had the Matcha Munchkins, and they were delicious! This shop could definitely have more vegan options, though.

delish!!!

The tea was priced well and yummy. Only 50 cents extra for boba. Mochi balls were super good too. Would come again!

Taro & Tea

On a hot summer day, the Passion Fruit Green Tea ($5.75) was my refuge. Bursting with bold, balanced flavors, it was refreshingly devoid of excessive sweetness. The jellies added an extra layer of delight.

Choosing between Taro and Chocolate Truffle Munchkins was a delightful dilemma. I went with the Taro Munchkins ($5) and patiently awaited their creation. When they arrived, hot and soft, they reminded me of zeppoles with a chewier twist. The sugar coating added a pleasing touch without overwhelming sweetness.
While grateful for their existing vegan options, I couldn't help but yearn for a future that includes mochi donuts or cream puffs.

Extra:
Streamlined self-ordering system
They had a couple of tables and chairs outside
Columbus Park is around the corner with plenty of seating and ample people watching

Nice surprise

Nice to find something vegan. I had mocha munchkin mochi and matcha munchkin mochi and was very happy about it. The guy in the shop was really nice too.

Moreish Matcha Doughballs

Someone on here said they could only eat one of these because they were too sweet. I ate four. In one go. Could have eaten more but had to share. Would recommend. Delicious.

Yummy--but empty--calories

This place is in the heart of NYC Chinatown. In this area, there are loads of bakeries where they serve sugar-filled, refined-floured pastries. This one is unique in that it has one item--matcha munchkin donuts--that is vegan. Although this is the only vegan item, it is enough--after all, how many such pastries can you eat without going into insulin shock?

These donuts are indeed delicious. They are like beignets (fried dough), of the type that you get in New Orleans, but a bit heartier inside. The portions might seem small, but they are more than enough. A sign in the store says "more than wholesome," though I don't see the wholesomeness (unless if compared to the other bakeries nearby). There are some places to sit outdoors, but this is mostly a takeout place.

Pros: Delicious desert.

Cons: Not healthy., Only one vegan item (though that's enough).

Mochi donuts

Delicious taro and match mochi munchkins
Edit - taro munchkins aren't vegan (they're just dairy free) I believe they have sodium caseinate

Amazing!

I ordered a tea and matcha munchkins, which came out hot and fresh, and insanely delicious! Thought their portions were really generous too. I want to go back and try everything else!!
