Ok vegan options - Edit
I appreciated that this restaurant had several vegan options. The food was passable. On the whole, it's best not to expect too much of vegan food in Croatia. It's greasy and not very sophisticated.

Expensive, but best vegan options in town - Edit
After having vegetable pizza without cheese, spaghetti aglio olio and fries for a week we decided to try Arcobaleno.

The handmade Fuži with truffels were fantastic.
They had a main course "vegetables" for 14€ that the waitress could not describe better than "variety of vegetables", so we did not dare to try.
Than there were two courses of Tofu with vegetables, one with pepper souce.
They both consisted of two big junks of Tofu, a little bit of mashed pasnips and vegetables. Everything was very good, but after eating the supplements we still had more than one block of pure Tofu left, which was then very dry to eat, even worse for the course without souce.
Also the prices range between 15 and 20€ for main courses.
They also have noodles with tomatoe souce for kids (the menu would have included ice cream, but that would not have been vegan)
Pros: Variety of vegan options, Vegan soup and main course, Handmade Fuži with truffels
Cons: No dessert, Tofu main courses are unbalanced, Expensive

We have been staying in Pula and decided to come to Medulin for the evening. We looked at the Happy Cow App for reataurants with vegan options and found Arcobaleno and it did not disappoint!!
Read moreThe owner, Maja, was serving our table and showed us the vegan menu. For a starter, we ordered the Bruschetta, and it was incredible! There were 3 different types of bruschetta - beet, mushroom and avocado and tomato. I can’t even decide which was my favourite, they were all so delicious.
I ordered the Ravioli Busco (pumpkin- stuffed vegan ravioli in an oyster mushroom and truffle sauce) and it was delicious.
My children had the pasta in tomato sauce, and grilled smoked tofu and grilled vegetable dish and each loved their dish. My husband had the smoked tofu & grilled vegetables in green sauce and he also really liked it.
The atmosphere, service and food were all top-notch and I would return in a heart-beat. I highly recommend Arcobaleno especially if you’re looking for vegan options!

Great place - Edit
We enjoy visiting here. We live in Medulin and I don’t have much choice when eating out apart from pizza and pasta so Arcobaleno is very different. I enjoy the tofu dish that they do and also the pasta. Sunny terrace and the restaurant inside is very nice, very relaxing and comfy furniture. Great in the Winter. Excellent sparkling wine! Maja the owner is very helpful and proactive, the menu has expanded recently, with hopefully a few more veggie/vegan options to come soon.
