Amazing food, great service, good price - Edit
What more do you need? The headline says it all 😍 we enjoyed food, cocktails, cake and a starter and our was all very fresh and tasty. The service was great and even though you sit close to the street, it's a beautiful place to hang out and eat. We loved it and will definitely come back.

Read moreWe had the calamari, loaded sweed potato fries, and the Bao Buns. I must say that the dishes were good, especially the free apetizer, but I see possible refinement.
The calamari had no fishy taste. Adding nori to the pank could fix that.
The bao buns with duck, the duck was a little tasteless, it could have a more distinct taste, by adding bbw sauce during frying or "brathuhn gewürz".
I found the fries were missing a sauce on the side. Furthermore the tomatoes were very unfitting, and the fried onion was giving ikea hotdog vibes. To fix them, make them crunchier, add a sauce like with the calamari, and bake them with some vegan cheese on top. Then they would be amazing.
The brownie we had was great. Again, something felt off. I think they should've had more bite to them with a soft molten chocolate core. But this is debatable.
In generall all of this is personal taste. This was complainong on the highest level. This was the best vegan food I has in Malta yet.

Fully vegan café, a good choice of food and drinks (non- and alcoholic). Beautiful space and very friendly staff. Prices are not low, but it's big portions and good quality.

They offer a great variety of different type of starter, small bites, bowls and other main dishes and they will show you a plate of desserts after you ate. They have a great variety of juices and smoothies and even ginger shots.

As the only fully vegan cafe in Sliema we went to Balance Bowl on our first night in Sliema and were not disappointed. I had the Madras bowl and my partner had the Buddha bowl, which were both super tasty. We also shared a bottle of a local rose wine and a slice of tiramisu. Staff are super friendly and very helpful. We were offered a complimentary starter, which was really kind. I would definitely recommend this place.

Best vegan restaurant in Malta! - Edit
Before travelling to Malta I did research on good vegan places to eat, and Balance Bowl was at the top of every list on every article and blog I read. On our day trip to Valletta we made a point to take a quick detour (a short and inexpensive Uber ride away) to visit Balance Bowl. I’m so glad we did, and it’s very easy to see why it’s consistently recommended as the best place to eat vegan in Malta.
Read moreThe restaurant itself has a lovely vibe, similar to other trendy vegan places I’ve been to across the biggest cities in Europe. We sat in the outside seating area which was great. The staff member who served us during our visit was warm, attentive and very friendly. The menu has a wide variety of vegan dishes inspired by many different world cuisines - I just wish I could have tried a bit of everything!
We got a complementary appetiser of bigilla with some bread, and it was a lovely touch to give us the opportunity to sample a traditional Maltese food! I had the ‘cauliflower no steak’, which is a marinated cauliflower steak presented beautifully on a pea houmous with tomatoes and seeds, and crowned with delicious breaded and fried oyster mushrooms. My husband had an imitation chicken burger with loaded fries. The portion sizes are massive, very generous and filling. My cauliflower dish was so tasty and definitely Instagrammable! We got a slice of cake each to takeaway (we were too stuffed to eat them there and then) - I had chocolate hazelnut (which tasted like a Kinder Bueno in cake form) and my husband had a carrot cake which was very nicely spiced.
Overall a wonderful experience and I’m so glad we got the opportunity to eat in the best vegan restaurant in Malta!

Loved the cafe interior and the creativity of the dishes. I think some of the food could have had a little more flavor though, with the exception of the hoisin jackfruit, which was incredible. Very friendly staff, and decent hazelnut cake.

Best place to eat in Sliema! - Edit
We visited the Balance Bowl twice while on our holiday in Malta. The food was exquisitely delicious! All the staff were lovely and enthusiastic, making us feel very welcome. The selection of food on the menu is vegan but everyone- not just vegans- will find something to enjoy. COur experience here was amazing and we hope to come back very soon! If you're in Sliema, definitely check out the Balance Bowl, you won't be disappointed!🌈

Great vegan options and kind staff - Edit
The restaurant is 100% vegan, the staff is very attentive and kind. We arrived early and got a table outside, which is super nice at night. I chose a bowl and my husband ordered the Kebab. It was all delicious, we didn't expect the Kebab to be so big. The bowl was also well served. I highly recommend this place.

All vegan (only one here) and great for non vegans as well. From the first time my husband and I walked in the restaurant and were immediately welcomed with good cheer. The staff are happy to help you as well as to work together and that's definitely a great sign! We found this haven and ended up going back many times. We tried everything on the menu and all is really top notch. We especially liked the wakame salad, mushroom entry, bahns, burger and schnitzel. That being said, we recommend everything which is a first! Can't wait to return next trip!

Portions were very large, and were two meals worth for three out of the four of us. Food was delicious and service was very good, and the meat eater particularly enjoyed the complimentary starter and asked for more. Very good service, highly recommend although quite pricey.

I got the vegan kebab and it’s huge and it comes with loaded fries but I found it’s still a bit to expensive sadly they don’t have any gluten free options regards they burger or kebabs where they definitely need to improve! But it was delicious.

All vegan restaurant, lovely aesthetic and nice staff. They did 2 for 1 cocktails and their menu was extensive. Prices very reasonable as they really large portions. They even had lots of cakes & ice creams but was too full after the mains! Will return again as a really nice experience overall

I first visited 2 years ago and was nervous coming back - would it be as good? I shouldn't have worried. Great food, great staff and great music. ALL vegan restaurant. Meals are a reasonable price and there is a good variety of cuisines. There is also a monthly special that seems to regularly be a traditional Maltese dish which is wonderful. Staff were also incredibly friendly and accommodating to my mother, who has celiac disease and needs to eat gluten free.

Read moreHad the Madras and it was perfect. I was full after eating half but had to eat it all cos I couldn’t imagine leaving any! My partner had bacon cheeseburger, he devoured it.
I wanted to try a desert but couldn’t fit anymore, portion size exceptional and the price matched the service and food.
Both servers this evening were so friendly and helped answer questions about the food with ease. Felt comfortable from the moment we walked in.
100% make a point to come here if you’re in Malta.
