Delicious Tapas-style Menu - Edit
Had dinner of tacos and meatballs. It was delicious, service was prompt and friendly, the atmosphere was cozy. I could imagine it becoming crowded, but for dinner on a Monday night it was busy enough to seem healthy, but I didn't have to weave my way through the dining room.

Never had anything here I didn’t like. Food is very flavorful and satisfying. I prefer it over their sister restaurant. Location is good, too.

One of Philly's Most Unique Vegan Restaurants! - Edit
Some of the absolute best food in the city. Very thoughtful and well-designed vegan dishes, which showcase fresh produce and real ingredients very well. We got the chorizo burger and mock fish tacos made with fried hearts of palm, both of which struck a great balance between classic dishes and interesting new Latin inspired twists. The tacos have a nice light sauce and refreshing corn salsa, probably the best tacos I've had here in Philly. Also highly recommend the yucca side dish for a more unconventional veggie side. Make sure you save room for dessert if you're here! Many vegan restaurants phone in their dessert a little bit but everything here is made in house and very on theme. The coconut "tres leches" cake here is a wonderful take on an iconic dish that seems hard to veganize. Bananas Foster empanadas are wonderful as well! The biggest downside about this place is probably the indoor ambiance--it gets very loud inside due to being a cramped space and they play the music very loudly, so order takeout or try to get seated outside if you can. It also can get very busy to dine in so be aware that this may affect wait times for your order. Lastly, be aware that there are definitely some spicy dishes on the menu here, and the menu doesn't always make the spice level super clear. I liked the Mexican street corn side but it was definitely at the upper end of my (moderate) spice tolerance levels!

Cool place - Edit
Went to Bar Bombon on Sunday for brunch. The bartender at Devon Seafood Grill recommended them. I tried the vegan breakfast tacos, the Spanish rice, loaded yuca and palm of hearts fish tacos. Everything was good and the waitress was very knowledgeable on the ingredients. That was important since I have a food allergy. The only things I would change is that they do not need reservations listed on their website. It is a small restaurant and they will seat you at whatever table is open. I also would recommend they try to get the sour brine out of the vegan fish tacos and add seaweed or nurifukake. I also would add having a pea protein based meat. One of my allergies is soy, and it is not ok to only have soy based meat. Pea protein is just as good, not expensive, and allergy friendly.

Friendly service, great food - Edit
I really enjoyed eating here! The food is really good and had an amazing experience! The buffalo cauliflower tacos and nachos were absolutely delicious – bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. The drinks (I had the salted grapefruit margarita) were also fantastic, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. While the pricing is on the high end, the quality of the food and drinks makes it well worth it. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it a great spot for a night out. Highly recommend!

Amazing! - Edit
Good thing I don’t live in Philly or I’d eat here waaaaay too much! We arrived at 4:45 on a Sunday and asked for a table for three. They asked if we had a reservation but found us a table anyways. (Much later and I don’t think we’d have been so lucky!) The queso, cauliflower tacos, classic margarita, and tres leches cake were all delicious!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Edit
Ordered through a delivery service so I’m operating under the presumption that many of the items would’ve been better if ordered for dine in. The tres leches cake was a favorite. Very soft, lots of sauce. The impossible tacos are good. Nothing crazy or “special” but well-crafted. The meatballs were okay. The fennel seasoning was a bit much for my tastes and they were dry in the middle, but the sauce was really good and the bread was great. (I’m sad we didn’t do brunch because I bet the French toast they make with this bread is amazing.) The Yuca didn’t have capers or cilantro even though both are listed in the description. They were okay but probably didn’t fare that great in a pickup order due to the sauce making them a bit soggy.

It’s always a treat to go here. We love all the food, especially the Yuca starter. We had brunch for the first time and loved our french toast and breakfast tacos. The Tres Leches cake is a must and pairs so well with an oat milk cappuccino!

Nice Brunch Atmosphere - Edit
We enjoyed brunch at the bar on a Sunday morning. Buffalo cauliflower tacos and hearts of palm tacos were delightful! Philly steak empanadas were average (wouldn't order again). Good selection of brunch cocktails (bloody Marias, mimosas, sangria).

We ordered the buffalo cauliflower tacos, the smoked pork (jackfruit) pernil and the yucca appetizer. Everything was awesome, but the yucca with aji amarillo sauce was so good that we immediately ordered a second plate of it 😁 highly recommended

Couldn’t have even happier - Edit
For medical reasons, I’m on a horrible diet so on top of being vegan there is currently a long list of foods I can’t eat. I picked Bar Bombón for my friend’s birthday dinner because their gluten free options are clearly marked. While looking at the menu, my restrictions came up in front of our server and they made a suggestion that wouldn’t work for me. They returned a bit later with a list of menu items that could be made without gluten, soy, and corn - without me even asking. I was shocked! I went fully prepared to be the pain in the ass customer that I hate being in order to celebrate my friend, but our server Shaun made it so easy on me and the food was delicious. I’m super grateful for the experience!

Excellent Latin American vegan food - Edit
We went during Happy Hour and enjoyed the atmosphere and Latin vibe. We got the margarita of the day, which tasted fresh and not like a sugary mix. The menu had plenty of options and good flavors. Reservations accepted but we were able to get a table mid- afternoon without one. We would definitely return again.

The horchata was incredible! Absolutely delicious and it’s so nice to actually have horchata that tastes delicious and is vegan! I had the chorizo burger that came with a side of shoestring fries. They were so incredible. I loved the atmosphere and wish I could have everything on the menu. If I ever come back to Philadelphia I will definitely come back here.
