Basil broke my heart. - Edit

A few years ago, when they still had their Short North location, they were my favorite restaurant in the whole city. Then I don't know if the ownership changed or what, but it really went downhill. I ordered 5 or 6 times in a row that were all disappointing, so I finally gave up and stopped ordering.

Fast forward to today, I placed an order with a restaurant I've never heard of before, "Phuket I'm Vegan," to celebrate a special occasion. I was very excited because I've not been able to find satisfactory Thai food since Basil went downhill. My partner and I dropped a C note on delivery for four entrees and an appetizer. And it was BASIL WITH DIFFERENT BRANDING! And it's even worse than the last time I had it. Everything was bland and greasy, borderline inedible. The rice had a bad, funky smell to it. The vegetables seemed old. The only thing that was remotely decent was the Pad See Ew. It was bad enough that they went to [censored], but then to con me on top of it? I'm pissed.
