Fair point. I’m happy to elaborate on my personal opinion: for the starter, I found that the mushrooms could have used a crispy element to create more structure, both in texture and taste (e.g. panko crumbs, crispy shallots, fried sage leaves).
Read moreRegarding the main, I noticed the burger seemed like a processed patty, the kind you can find at supermarkets, served in a plain white bun. There was some raw, cold sauerkraut, and the sauce tasted like ketchup. I would have loved to see something homemade in there—perhaps grilled vegetables or a more flavorful sauce to elevate the dish.
That’s why I rated my experience 4 rather than 5 stars.

Read moreIf you’re referring to the flambéed shiitake mushrooms for your starter, our goal was to recreate a French-style moules marinières experience, where the depth of flavor comes from the sauce rather than a crispy element. We don’t believe crunchiness naturally belongs in this dish, but your suggestion is interesting! In the classic French recipe, celery slices are often used for a touch of freshness and crunch—this could be an idea worth exploring. Something to test!
If you were talking about our mushroom tacos, we actually do include crispy fried onions to add texture to the dish.
Regarding the Better Burger, the patty we use is from Heura, a high-quality brand known for its plant-based meat alternatives. We grill it over a charcoal BBQ, just like our organic, artisan-made bun. Every other component is made in-house, from our vegan béarnaise mayo and Texas-style BBQ sauce to our organic daikon radish coleslaw. Our homemade sauces have been such a hit with customers that we’re about to launch them for retail—so we’re genuinely surprised they didn’t suit your taste!

Le restaurant est bien situé, l'ambiance était vraiment agréable et chaleureuse. Mon copain était très content de son cadeau d'anniversaire. nous avons pris le menu dégustation afin de pouvoir gouter de tout et c'était un excellent choix. Tout était bon, les saveurs surprenentes et les portions assez généreuses. Je recommande vivement, nous reviendront !

The food is great, everything is made with love and good quality. The homemade dips are perfect for the potatoes and the Buffalo cauliflower are a must-try! The people there are funny and kind and are happy to speak with you in English, French or both.

The food was really amazing. My girlfriend and I shared the confit aubergine as a starter, the portobello burger with marinated broccoli skewer and finally the chicken tacos. Everything was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. Highly recommended. Please note that the place isn’t big and tables are very close to each other, so if you’re looking for a place where you can have your space and privacy this is not the one.

I really enjoyed my quesadillas and gwac here, the flavours were so fresh and tasty. I found the apricot crumble bland though, and had considered apricot an unusual fruit for a crumble in the first place. I had ordered the apple crumble listed on the menu but was told it would be apricot instead. I don't often get dessert but I was left hungry after the quesadillas (it says to add tapas to make a meal but the price would really add up then as they are not cheap to begin with at 14.50). Staff was friendly. Cocktails were cute, but I personally didn't enjoy the violette taste in mine (as I hadn't tried it before that could be a me thing). I enjoyed flipping through a fun vegan comic they had on the shelf behind us (photos attached). Support this all vegan place!

Given the intimate size of our restaurant (just 26 seats) and our location in one of the most expensive areas of Paris, we need to ensure that guests spend around €25 per person on food during dinner service to keep things running smoothly. Each table is reserved for 1 hour and 45 minutes, so we appreciate your understanding regarding our pricing.
We were surprised to hear that you found the apricot crumble bland, as we use a generous amount of real Madagascan vanilla to enhance the flavor. That said, we sincerely apologize for the mix-up, as we understand you had initially ordered the apple crumble.
As for the violet cocktail, we're sorry it didn’t align with your taste. It’s actually one of our bestsellers, appreciated for its simple yet complex flavor profile, but we recognize that preferences vary.

Read moreFirst of all, the staff are really lovely and accommodating - this could be due to the lack of people in the restaurant but we felt well looked after.
We shared some of the tapas and went with the crunchy potatoes, corn tortillas with houmous, bruschetta, BBQ broccoli and oyster mushrooms wings.
They were all full of flavour and cooked perfectly, we enjoyed every dish. My favourite was the potatoes because they came with some amazing dips, they were crème fresh and a sour cream (stunning) I wish there were more corn tortillas with the houmous as the ratio didn’t feel right. Also felt like the BBQ broccoli could have had something more, it was just broccoli (maybe a little bit of texture or sauce)
For dessert we got the berry crumble which was warm and sweet. The crumb was to die for and the cream it came with balanced out the sweetness really well!

Our family of four had a wonderful dinner at B.Better! We're veg and were relieved to find a place where we could order anything on the menu! We reserved an outdoor table and it was a fun place to sit. The restaurant is located in a great neighborhood on a side street that is quiet but still has interesting people watching and vibrancy. The server was friendly and personable (breaking all Parisian stereotypes). We each ordered the tasting menu and were so glad we did! Each course was wonderful, sourced with local ingredients and artfully presented. The broccoli tapas, mushroom tacos, and grilled nectarine were my highlights to an all around great meal! My 16 yo son is still dreaming about the fried oyster mushrooms! We will definitely b.back to b.better next time we're in Paris and will recommend to friends - both vegan and non.
