Cute!! Tasty!! - Edit
They do one thing and they do it well. I had the red bean, enoki mushroom and the curry filling. The mushroom was my favorite - it had a nice kick 🤍🤍 very good for breakfast or light lunch😄

Geheimtipp!

Cute Fishies - Edit
We tried all vegan flavours and I can recommend all of them. The mushroom Taiyaki is a little bit more spicey than curry.
Read moreDelicious and very cute with this fish look.

Bing Go - Edit
I got the peanut butter and jelly option and thought it tasted like regular waffles (or even an Uncrustable from the US). I didn’t find these to be very exciting.

Very nice - Edit
I appreciate that you can get these fish shaped waffles outside of japan as it definitely sends me back.
Read morePersonally I can only comment on the version with the black bean filling, but it’s really extremely good.
Just the way it’s supposed to be.
Not too sweet and nice and chewy inside.

Nice, but expensive - Edit
Had the peanut butter jelly with vegan dough. Great taste and the fish shape is oddly appealing, certainly particularly well received by children.
Read moreFor the fact that it is consumed with 4 bites, 3.60 € is a huge price tag. Thus, it remains a one-hit-wonder for me.

Just okay - Edit
They offer vegan dough for their taiyaki, plus some vegan fillings such as bean paste or mushrooms. I’ve had the one with red bean paste and a seasonal special with Sakura flavor (cherry blossom) and mochi inside. The red bean one was tasty but kinda boring and not crunchy on the outside as it should be. The Sakura one was bad. The dough was fine but the mochi inside had hard white lumps of rice flour that weren’t incorporated. When you bit them, you had straight up plain rice flour in your mouth… was that worth 5€ for one waffle? Nope. Plus I waited 25 minutes for two waffles! The staff doesn’t seem very efficient tbh, since I watched them the whole 25 minutes. Often, the waffle makers were empty despite there being a long line waiting to be served. Improvements need to be made.

Cons: Disgusting taste of some varieties , Long wait , Rather expensive

Cute and delicious waffles - Edit
Taiyaki is a waffle in the shape of a fish and a speciality in Japan and also in Korea. For an extra 30 cents, this one is available in a vegan version, and there is also a 20-cent surcharge for plant-based drinks. A loyalty card is offered for regular customers. The fish are filled with a savoury or sweet filling. Vegan are: Red Bean, Tapioca, Jam, Peanutbutter & Jelly, Enoki Mushroom and Curry.
Read moreMy favourite was Enoki Mushroom, slightly spicy (not very spicy), but all the choices I tried tasted great. The batter is an absolute dream! The waffles are elaborately handmade after ordering, so there is a bit of a wait, but interesting to see how they do it. There are about 6 seats on site otherwise to take away. I can recommend the Taiyaki Triple, so you can try three different varieties. Will definitely be back!
