4.4/5 - Edit
First and foremost, they need to update the pictures on their menu. It doesn’t do them any justice but I suppose that’s jus true hidden magic.
Read moreat first I was a bit taken aback by the prices but one must always remember these are shareable plates. It was two of us tonight and we had one medium steamed bun dimsum (came with 3) and the sesame veg chicken (came with broccoli) with one serving of rice. That was enough for the two of us for dinner. Came out to around 25$ total.
I really like the texture of the sesame chicken and the sauce had a hidden sweetness. The broccoli is a nice touch as well. This was filling too!
The steamed buns are iconic for me. Wonderfully made. In hindsight, it feels weird to pay over $2 per pun when I can get multiple in Taiwan for $2 butttt I guess that’s NYC for ya.
The staff was incredibly friendly evening starting us off with complimentary tea.
Overall a heartwarming experience of food that is what it is and gives well.
Pros: Steamed buns!

Good food but they tricked us into overpaying - Edit
The food was fresh and delicious. The waitress was super nice and claimed that everything on the menu was vegan.
Read moreWhen we got the bill however, they just presented our sum and listed some suggested tip underneath. Unfortunately I didnt think about what out prices would actually have added up to and gave them 22%. They didnt say anything and charged us. Only later did I realize that they had already included 25% tip in our bill and basically made me add another tip (In my case 22%), so we ended up paying 47% tip.
Not cool.
Pros: Fresh and great taste, Friendly staff
Cons: 25% already included in final bill

Amazing! Must try - Edit
I’ve never had dim sum before, and it was an experience. All the options were overwhelming so we did 2 apps to get a little taste of everything sticky rice balls. We enjoyed everything and it was more than enough food. We had left overs. Go before 4 pm for a cheaper dim sum!

Vegan dim sum - Edit
I've been dying to try a vegan dim sum place, and Bodhi Kosher Vegetarian definitely hit the spot. Everything tastes so authentic, just like the non-vegan versions I had in my childhood. I love the mom-and-pop vibe and easygoing ambiance. My favorites were the fried sticky rice dumplings and veg meat pastries. My non-vegan friends were impressed by the food as well - they couldn't tell it was entirely plant-based! Service was really quick, and the prices were reasonable. Definitely stop by this place if you're in NYC and craving some delicious & authentic vegan dim sum!

Fun and Yummy - Edit
Really fast service, and good food. However, it was a little hit and miss in that department. Some items were amazing (particularly the Singapore Noodles) but others weren't as good (veg shrimp steamed dumplings and sweet and sour veg ribs).
Read moreIt's a bit hard to tell if it's all vegan or just all vegetarian. Also MASSIVE portion size. Expect to share or have a lot to take home.
Overall I really liked it though, and would go again!

Wonderful Food - Edit
I was really excited to try the dim sum here, and it did not disappoint. We ordered an array of plates and found everything enjoyable. The spring rolls were delightful, and the ribs were an absolute revelation, I've never had anything like them before. I felt like we were able to try a lot of dishes and it was pretty reasonably priced.
Read moreHowever, our service was somewhat aggressive and strange and made me very uncomfortable. To "explain" how to order, the server physically grabbed one person's hand and put the pencil in it. She also started to massage/poke another member of our group. She described herself as "hot" and spouted a lot of nonsense about gender roles. It was not great. It seemed like all the other servers were acting like normal people, so perhaps we were just very unlucky.

Great food and tons of Chinese options, but it was a little pricey. I’m new to NYC prices and vegan food prices in general though, so judge for yourself!

Amazing Vegan Chinese restaurant - Edit
Located in China Town, this place has a fancy shop front.
Read moreThe inside is quite basic but, wahou they have an extensive menu. It’s kind of difficult to choose when you have all these mouth-watering options.
Their menu offers Dim sum, appetizers, buns, soups, main course (chicken, beef, lamb, duck, shrimp, jellyfish, etc.) and dessert.
2018: we went for the Chow fried rice with tofu, Rice rolls in soy sauce and Baked fried meat buns.
Every single dish was just very tasty, an explosion of flavors and came in a very good size. So it’s more than worth your money if you want nice, warmly, comfy and authentic Chinese food.
Sorry for the late review, but better late than never, right!

I was only in NYC for four days and came to eat here twice. The food is delicious and you can't beat their lunch deal- only $8.95 for an entree and your choice of a spring roll or soup! Amazing food, nice atmosphere, great service. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the city!

Go here for dim sum! - Edit
This is my new favorite dim sum place in NYC. They are very gluten free friendly and have tamari for you if you are gluten free. They also have multiple gluten free items that are clearly marked on their menu. The dim sum was delicious, and I am definitely going back for more. I love this place.

Good food, big portions - Edit
I have only eaten here once but very much enjoyed it and will go back to experience more of the menu. This place is a bit low on atmosphere. The decor is basic and the lighting, just a bit too bright for my tastes. On the plus side the service is great and the staff are friendly and attentive. My friend and I did not have dim sum, we order a couple of main dishes. Both were very good and big. I would say compared to many other Chinatown restaurants of similar calibre, this place is a bit higher priced, but it's not outrageous.
