Flavorful ramen - Edit
I had the fennel ramen and the mushroom steamed buns.
Read moreI really liked the ramen. Definitely unique flavors - I appreciate the novelty and that it was vegetable forward. The fennel and basil made it have a pretty strong flavor and I can imagine that not being everyone's favorite. But I prefer that approach to just trying to simulate an animal based meal for sure.
Broth was sooo good. Noodles were pretty good and not glass or rice noodles.
I didn't like the mushroom buns personally. They were fine except that the flavor of the mushrooms or how they were cooked reminded me of canned mushrooms which I do not like. Otherwise I love mushrooms.

We came here during the recent snow storm, on account of having lost power in our home. And boy were we glad we did !
Read moreOur favorite was the mushroom steamed buns, hands-down. The fried pears were unexpected — almost like candied pears. I enjoyed my ramen, and my partners enjoyed their boke bowl and tofu rice bowl. The mushrooms in the bowls and ramen were dense and delightful.
The general manager told me the curry rice bowl is vegan; can’t wait to try that next time.

Awesome flavors - Edit
Multiple vegan options. Two of us had the fennel ramen with tofu. It was filled with lots of veggies and tons of delicious flavor. My husband had the tofu rice bowl, again filled with lots of flavorful veggies. We shared some kimchi and pickled cucumbers, and Radler beers. We would definitely go again!

Buns and Bowls - Edit
I ordered Miso Mushroom Steam Buns (sauteed assorted mushrooms with sake, garlic, shallots, and finished with a house-made creamy cashew miso bechamel) and Caramelized Fennel Ramen (Japanese eggplant, mushrooms, rice tots, seasonal veggies). Unfortunately, I did not like the ramen at all due to my personal dislike of the ingredients. However, my partner enjoyed the Curry Rice Bowl. The steam buns were tasty, but expensive.
