Visiting from Florida and I have been vegan 12 years. I was super excited to experience traditional food from bologna. Highly recommend you make a reservation ahead of time. The tables are tight inside and also have seating outside. The staff was very friendly and menu had a nice selection. We both got different things and tried. The portions were a bit smaller for the price and the flavors were great. Highly suggest the sweet potato app and the "steak " dish. The dessert was nice.

My only regret is waiting so long into my trip to try Botanica. Everything on the menu was absolutely exceptional. It was creative, beautifully balanced, and prepared with real artistry.
Read moreDo not skip the cannoli; it had some of the most unique and memorable flavors of our entire visit. The steak was perfection, served over a delicate layer of thinly sliced potatoes with incredible sauces that tied everything together. For dessert, we shared the strudel, which was crispy on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside, and filled with the most delicious fruit. It was truly the best strudel I’ve ever had, hands down.
The atmosphere was gorgeous, warm, and welcoming. We felt completely taken care of from start to finish.
A must-visit.

Prezzi non bassi ma comprensibile dietro a Piazza maggiore.

The restaurant is always full with locals for lunch and dinner for I guess it is quite popular. All the dishes look delicious and well presented. I was amazed by the amount of waiters serving tables. Plates are elaborated and creative.

Great ambiance and delicious plates - Edit
This location is truly beautiful and the inside was so chic and lovely. It made for a perfect pairing with the most delicious summer menu. The corn spread was delectable, the pesto was so creamy and each dish had such a unique flavor from the other. So thrilled that Bologna has such a fantastic place that is vegan - yay.

Good restaurant, but too fancy for my liking. As an Italian on vacation in Italy I’m looking for authentic flavours from the tradition. I found the same plates I find in these kind of restaunrats all over the world. Furthermore, Trofie that were not trofie, plus N’Duja in Bologna? And not spicy?

Absolute Top Tier Vegan - Edit
Make a reservation, this place is worth the planning. Everyone around us was getting the beyond burger, which looked fantastic, but we can get that anywhere where we live. Instead we ordered the “filet” which was so real that I had to stop to inspect to make sure it was plant based. So good. Service was efficient and professional. Cannot say enough good things about our dinner here.

Read moreOnly thing that was strange was that the staff didn’t explain or even say the name of the dish when they put it on the table. Normally for a tasting menu in Italy, the waiter will tell you what each dish is as they bring it (and also say they hope you enjoy). These people just drop the dish on the table and leave without a word.

We went here 4 times in one week and between us tried most of what's on the menu! Actually got in once without a reservation, but it's best to reserve ahead. In that one-week period, there were even a couple changes to the menu, which gave us different options. The dishes are incredibly creative and beautifully presented. It's on a side street so the outdoor space is relatively quiet.

Delicious food with a variety of interesting options — from more classic dishes like the Beyond Burger to more sophisticated ones, such as the Italian dish "trufiette" (which I had). Prices are reasonable — perhaps slightly above the average for Italy, but perfectly fair by European standards. The place feels more like a fancy restaurant than a typical vegan bistro. The service is very professional, and the waiting time was surprisingly short. A reservation might be required, as it's a very busy and popular spot.

An outstanding veg tasting menu for dinner. The dishes were unusual, creative, and done well. The dishes looked small but were quite dense and hence very filling. A really delightful experience, well worth the cost.
