Delicious - Edit
The food was absolutely amazing, we ordered two different menus with vegan dishes and can't decide which dish was the best because everything was so tasty. The portion size was also good and we were too full to try the dessert.

Best meal of whole trip! - Definitely go - Edit
We each got the sampler plate (piatto unico) and thus got to choose one salad, primi and secondi!! Best way to be able to explore more on the menu. The menu changes but for early October the cabbage and apple salad were sooo tasty, the potato ginger tortelloni and chickpea tempeh were magical. And the seitan masala was phenomenal.

Pros: So well executed, the flovors are inspiring! , Very cool vibe, eating among bookstore displays
Cons: Sad we couldn’t go again.

Such a unique dining experience - Edit
Brac was a great memory for us. We stumbled in on an extremely rainy day and it was so cosy.
Read moreThe potato and ginger tortelloni was one of the best pasta dishes we tried in Italy. We knew the food was renowned but we were still surprised by the quality for being inside a bookshop. It was so good we bought the Brac cookbook to try recreate it at home.
Really lovely vibe. People doing Italian language classes and having a coffee/wine in the afternoon
Pros: Food quality, Lots of vegan options , Lovely cosy vibe
Cons: We couldn’t work out how to book. Website broken, Confusing system for ordering/paying

Best vegan food in town - Edit
I love coming to Brac for so many reasons. Each vegan option is clearly labeled and incredibly tasty. The food is always excellent quality, creative and perfectly balanced. Most recently, we came with omnivore friends from out of town who loved exploring vegan and vegetarian food. In my opinion, the piatto unico is the best way to taste the whole riches of the menu. A favorite on the table was the seitan masala and the tortelli con prugne and cipolle. I love how the menu changes for the season but keeps around fan favorites. If you like wine, their vast selection of hard to find organic wines will impress. We opted for a refreshing Pecorino. Don’t skip out on dessert! The cakes and treats are made in house. Run by people who care and adds so much to the neighborhood.

Tasty vegan food - Edit
There was a good choice of vegan options, which were quite innovative. The wines change every night and last night's was better.
Read moreThe puddings also changed and were as delicious.
We just turned up before they opened and they fitted us in. One night at the bar and tonight a table, but this seemed to be by luck.
The food was delicious and the best vegan food we found in Florence.

A Gem in the Heart of Florence. - Edit
I recently visited this unique art bookshop that doubles as a vegan restaurant, and I was truly impressed!
Read moreThe location is absolutely stunning, nestled right in the center of Florence, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the city. The cozy atmosphere added to the charm, creating a perfect space for enjoying both books and food.
As for the food, while not completely vegan, almost all the dishes are vegan-friendly, and the ones I tried were absolutely delicious! The flavors were vibrant and the ingredients tasted fresh.
Overall, this place is a must-visit for both book lovers and food enthusiasts. Highly recommended!
Pros: Almost all vegan , Stunning place
Cons: The glasses of wine are really expensive

Very nice staff, huge meal for only €20 - Edit
Their plates with three menu options give you large portions and you get a feast with so much to try for only €20 a plate. A good deal for sure. Great staff they were so nice and let us eat at the bar since they were full up. We went twice and would highly recommend it.

Beautiful venue. Great wine. Lots of vegan options, clearly marked. I personally enjoyed the dessert and tisanes more than the main courses as they were a bit experimental for my taste, but you might love it!

Good food meh experience - Edit
I write this well aware of how Americans are perceived in Italy, but this was the only place I did not feel comfortable at in my time in Florence. The food was good. I got a tortellini filled with potato tasted more like a pierogi and a rice and lentil dish. The rice dish was over seasoned and I did not care for it, but the tortellini and the two sauces around it were delicious.

Fine food, lovely relaxed atmosphere, helpful friendly staff - Edit
We turned up without a reservation and place was super busy. So make sure you have a reservation. They offered us a table on the proviso that we could only have it for an hour, which was fine with us.
Read moreWe both ordered the taster plate, which consisted of a salad, first, and second course dish. My favourite dish was the Potato and Ginger Tortelloni. My partner found it very difficult to decide on her best dish, but eventually went for the fresh pasta. Desserts were a little disappointing. Wine was really good.
Pros: Ambience of the restaurant, Super tasty food , Great wine
Cons: Desserts were a tad disappointing

Fresh vegan pasta - Edit
One of the rare places in Florence where you can try freshly made vegan pasta (the sundried pasta spaghetti was delicious). The 20 euro plate let's you try 3 different dishes and the serving size is massive. You can also go here to just get coffee and cake (all the cakes in the cabinet were vegan on the day I went 😊). I recommend booking as they get quite busy.

Best meal in Florence - Edit
Such fantastic vegan options. I ordered the combination plate so I could try the most things and the portions were probably 2/3 of the regular item- very generous. Even dessert was delicious. Recommend asking for the house wine- it was a delicious red when we went.

Tasty food in a fun and quirky spot - Edit
Fresh, vegetable-filled food with interesting flavor combinations, like potato & ginger in the tortelloni. Fun to try 3 different smaller portions (a salad, primo, and special) on the plate instead of just picking one, although because only about half the menu is vegan, it’s tricky to get the perfect combination.
