Delicious selection in a lovely pub - Edit
The ambience is very nice, and the outdoor area also looks beautiful. We tried the spinach pasta and the gnocchi. Both were very tasty and it was a good amount of food.

Wir haben draußen im gemütlichen Innenhof gesessen und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Es gibt eine eigene vegane Speisekarte und besonders von der Gnocci-Gemüse-Pfanne waren wir begeistert. Man merkt, dass hier frisch gekocht wird. Große Empfehlung!
Read moreWährend unseres Urlaubs in Dresden waren wir noch ein zweites Mal dort, da es uns so gut geschmeckt hat und wir wurden wieder nicht enttäuscht. Diesmal saßen wir drinnen im gemütlichen Restaurant und probierten die Brennnesselnudeln und den Quinoa-Salat. Beides extrem gut und sehr lecker gewürzt!
Abends ist eine Reservierung empfehlenswert.

We had lunch there with 2 stews, 1 vegan & 1 vegetarian one. Both were delicious, the big portion was easily enough to eat. We enjoyed the food in the nice back yard of the restaurant. Friendly and fast service.

Wir sind immer zufrieden mit unseren Aufenthalten im Brennnessel. Vor allem im Sommer ist es schön auf der Terrasse zu sitzen. Manchmal dauert der Service etwas und es ist eher höherpreisig. Ich würde auf jeden Fall empfehle eine Reservierung zu machen, wenn möglich. Die Auswahl ist sehr groß und fast alles lässt sich vegan machen, wenn es das nicht schon ist, alles in allem zu empfehlen.

Be sure to reserve a table if you'd like to eat there. We came on a random Wednesday late afternoon & could hardly find a seat for only half an hour. But we were lucky & tried the homemade orange mulled wine & a soup & both was very very delicious. The vegan menu is as long as the omnivore one but with nearly no upcharge.

Ich bestellte den warmen Fenchel - Tofu - Salt mit Maronen, Champignons und warmem veg. Feta.
Absolut lecker. Das warme Gemüse mit Tofu und Feta war auf Salatblätter angerichtet. Also mehr Gemüse, weniger Salat. Kann ich sehr empfehlen und werde ich auch nächstes mal wieder bestellen.
Ich würde 5 Sterne geben, da sehr viel vegane Auswahl auf der Karte ist.

They haven’t gnocchi, rice or other Italian food with a vegan option. The food is good, but there are only 4 dishes to choose from. There are no vegan desserts.

Total viele vegane Optionen, fast alle vegetarischen Speisen können auch vegan gemacht werden. Dies ist auf der Karte auch sehr verständlich gekennzeichnet. Der Innenhof ist ein Traum zum draußen sitzen. Die Gerichte sind zwar teuer aber auch ziemlich groß (zumind. die Nudeln). Nach meinem Geschmack hätte es etwas würziger sein können, aber leider stand auf dem Tisch kein Salz Pfeffer… war aber trotzdem lecker☺️

Lockt mit Veganen und glutenfreien Gerichten, die viel zu klein portioniert sind. Der aufgerufene Preis ist daher nicht gerechtfertigt (Überbackenes Baguette = 2 halbe Semmeln, also 1. Mit etwas Gemüse und Käse überbacken). Die doppelte Portion wäre mengentechnisch ausreichend gewesen. Zudem die Bestellung falsch aufgenommen und bei der telefonischen Reservierung hochnäsig und unfreundlich gewesen. Die Online Reservierung hat drei mal nicht geklappt.

Tolle Entdeckung! - Edit
Die Optionen sind vielfältig und köstlich. Die Portionen stimmen und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Gerichte sind auch eher ausgefallen und nichts, was man in einem 08/15 Restaurant bekommt. Für jeden war etwas dabei.

Read moreThe restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff and loads of vegan options. You can order a vegan version of almost every meal on the menu.
All dishes are made fresh, with high quality ingredients and lots of herbs and spices. Each meal tastes unique and looks appetising.
I had baked potatoes with sunflower seeds and cherry tomatoes. The herb sauce was phenomal! My partner had the pasta with mushrooms and tomato sauce. It was fantastic too.
I can only highly recommend this place.

Food is amazing, I had the gnocchi, it was so good. Also the lemon sorbet is to die for. The atmosphere is really cozy, and the staff friendly and funny. It's a bit outside the centre so you wouldn't typically pass by, but worth a little detour.

A cozy place not far from the old town of Dresden. Most dishes are available as a vegan version. Staff is quite friendly and prices are reasonable. We went there for lunch with no reservation but at night they were all booked so reservation is recommended.

BrennNessel seems to be a very popular place, so you should call in advance and reserve a table, especially if you would like to sit outside. They are not a fully vegetarian restaurant, but close (I remember seeing one meat dish on the menu), and there are sufficient vegan options. I had the gnocchi with peanut sauce, which sounds a bit strange, but was actually really good! And the portions are huge!

The garden is very very nice to sit in. It was crowded and portions where very very big. Food was good, not special and vegan options labeled clear. Make sure you book your table. It seems to be fully booked all of the time. It is a 10 min walk from the centre of the city. The menu has a lot of info. Even a bit confusing

Great experience! There are so many vegan dishes out of local ingredients! I tried the vegan gnocci and they were just amazing! Very good ratio of the price and the size of the meals. Also the white grape juice was super tasty!

We ate here early Feb 2020 for dinner several nights. The place is tiny, quaint, crowded and noisy. Despite these, the food makes up for it. We had the bruschetta, gnocchi mushroom bake, and potato smoked tofu pan.All were excellent. We will be going back the next time we visit.

It‘s a rather small restaurant with low ceiling, wooden furniture and many pillars. Cozy and familiar feeling - however can get quite crowded and there is an unpleasant table right at the entry. Make sure you reserve a table and rather eat before the lunch rush. Wait times can be long according to the menu, however we experienced the opposite - food came fast, it was freshly made and super tasty.

For main course we got chilli con tofu (vegan), pasta and gnocchi. All very viable options, filling and tasty. Even my meat eating family didn‘t choose a meat dish. :-)
Staff were friendly, toilet was clean. Highly recommended.
