Awesome, very accommodating! - Edit
Lovely atmosphere, and the staff knew exactly what to do when I asked for my meal to be made vegan(despite a very slight language barrier, which is my own shortcoming). It was absolutely delicious, I'd stop by again in a heartbeat.

Amazing! - Edit
The atmosphere is super friendly and warm, the bathroom a fun adventure. I had the vegan enchiladas, and omg, so good!! I also had the vegan chocolate cake, which was so delicious! I'd absolutely recommend this place and give it 5 stars if I could. The only thing is that it was booked full in advance, so if you want to eat in on a weekend night (I did takeout, which was just what I wanted and ready in about 25 minutes even with a full restaurant), you either need a reservation, or I also heard them offer a single walk-in later in the evening a seat at their "community table."
Read morePros: Sauces/flavors, Vegan options labeled and easily accommodated , Good quality, hearty food
Cons: Pricier, but totally worth it if you can afford it, Limited walk-in options, Busting atmosphere—not really a negative

A busy favorite - Edit
Went here twice recently when visiting Santa Fe, once for dinner and once for breakfast. Many vegan options on the menu, and the staff were happy to discuss the options with me and offer recommendations. Ended up with a very unique and delicious Huevos Motuleños with tofu-chorizo which was unlike anything I’d ever had! Liked it so much we returned the next morning for breakfast and I had one of the best breakfast burritos of my life. My partner got the non-plant-based version and agreed that mine was better, ha! Just a note that this place is seemingly always busy and the sheer amount of people in a small space is a bit of a turn-off.

Just a Few Options, Still Delicious - Edit
We loved this restaurant before we stopped eating dairy, and we were worried it wouldn't be as great for us now that we're vegan. There were only a few vegan options, but enough. The food was delicious - they really know how to cook at this place. The food is fresh and clean. Just wish they add a few more choices.

2-3 tasty options - Edit
Works when you have a mixed vegan/non-vegan group. They were flexible and worked with us. I had avocado toast on seed bread with black beans and tofu chorizo. My husband had the burrito one day and scramble another. All we’re very good.

Vegan brunch options - Edit
Walked in for a quick vegan brunch and were quite happy with the vegan breakfast burrito and tofu chorizo scramble. Both had plenty of green chile!

Not much vegan food - Edit
We went to this cafe with my partner’s parents when they were in town. The atmosphere was excellent, but the vegan options were minimal. We ordered almost every one, and we were underwhelmed.
Read moreOur favorite dish was the hot portabello mushroom salad. We also enjoyed the plantain chips. I could have done without the enchiladas.
Pros: Atmosphere , Some vegan options , Right downtown
Cons: Overpriced , Not very tasty , Vegan options NOT labeled

Few options, good but expensive - Edit
We had the mole enchiladas which were delicious and spicy. Only one other vegan option, a veggie burger, but the bun isn’t vegan - disappointing. We had a side of rice and beans and a jicama salad which were a nice addition. However, the meal was $29!! Not worth that much.

Gourmet Vegan & Vegetarian - Edit
It is uncommon to find a gourmet place that caters to vegans outside the biggest cities- this was on par with the better gourmet vegan restaurants in New York (note, a few entrees are vegan, not the whole menu)
Read moreThe Mole Enchilada with Tofu was fantastic.
In 2019, 2 adults & 2 kids ran us about $100 before tip. It was worth the price. For me the portion size was fine. Still, don't come here if you're buying food by the pound, come here for the expertly refined sauces.
Pros: Excellent sauces, Has a kid friendly item, Several veg*n items to pick from
Cons: Not good for saving money

Overpriced for what we ordered - Edit
Interesting place and very attentuve staff. Very busy during the lunch hour. My husband and I both ordered the Blue Lady enchiladas with grilled squash with black beans and rice on the side. We drank water and the bill was $42 not including tip. Food was just OK.

Tasty with great ambiance - Edit
Got the tofu chorizo scramble which was very good. They were clear that things were cooked on the same grill when I specified that I was vegan but they immediately informed me about what might be an issue and made recommendations.

A few options! - Edit
Waiters are super conscious of veganism😄We went for breakfast and got a tofu scramble, tofu chorizo burrito and a green juice. The burrito was super flavorful but they could still work on the tofu scramble. Potatoes are cooked in butter unless you ask! Overall super accommodating😄

Good but Hurry Up and Wait - Edit
The food is excellent. Vegan options are limited but they always have something good. The major drawback is the extraordinary wait times: we waited just shy of two hours to get seated (they don't take reservations for lunch).

Limited Menu Entree Options for Vegans - Edit
Very cute and popular restaurant. Reservations are recommended and this is a pricey venue.
Read moreMy daughter and I ordered the same meal--garden vegetable enchiladas with green chili sauce. She ordered hers vegetarian, as they came and I ordered mine vegan, so it was minus the cheese and cornbread. The veggies inside the enchilada could have had a little more salt added and there was quite a bit of spinach but they were quite tasty. Service is slow, so be prepared to relax and enjoy. Be prepared for the sticker shock. The enchilada meal is $29--which is kind of high considering the cost of the ingredients.
Pros: Ambiance, Accommodating
Cons: Slow service, Price

Overpriced, overrated, cramped space, crappy service - Edit
I had high expectations walking in based on the good ratings across the board, but I left feeling ripped off.
Read moreIt IS grossly overpriced. I knew it'd be expensive—I don't mind pricey meals if the value is there—but the experience just didn't warrant the price tags. Our starter was an $11 plate of plantain chips with an avocado dip of sorts, which our waiter had told us would be swapped out for salsa to keep it vegan. That didn't happen. I opted for the mole enchilada ($29) as my main. It was average at best. The tortilla was tough on the bottom, possibly from having been stuck to the pan. The mole wasn't bad, but the veggie/tofu filling was as bland as can be. Seemed to me the cooks had no idea how to properly prepare tofu. The ramekin of jícama slaw on the side was unmemorable. Only saving grace was the little pile of cilantro rice. (Side note: their three-tined fork was impractical in that the tines had wide spacing in between and could hardly pick up the julienned jícama.) My partner ordered the filet mignon with mashed potatoes (~$40) and a piece of cornbread (not vegan) from my dish. He was equally unimpressed.
Service was subpar. Hostess was snooty when we showed up at 6 to see if they had anything available even though we had a reservation at 7. She retorted "it's six"—as if we didn't know we were early—and a flat "no" when the place was almost half empty. Fine. Our waiter was curt and impatient. He didn't appear interested in explaining any vegan options and walked away mid-conversation. I asked if a dish could be made vegan, he just stressed that it wouldn't taste as good sans cheese. He also didn't replace the avocado dip with salsa as I mentioned earlier. Throughout our meal we weren't checked on even once.
What's more, the dining space was so cramped that it took away from any ambiance they might try to create. To be fair, that's probably much more so because we were seated at the oval "community table", where they tried to squash in as many people as possible. Our end didn't have so much as elbow/leg room, while our tablemates down the other end were sitting comfortably apart. Either they were clueless or didn't care, but ultimately the staff should act proactively in a situation like this. They didn't bother.
This meal set us back $100. Totally NOT worth it. I wouldn't even classify this place as vegan-friendly to begin with. Just a couple of token, veganizable dishes are not gonna cut it in this day and age.
TLDR: Avoid this tourist trap.
Cons: Poor value, Lousy service, Cramped space

Divine and Upscale for vegans - Edit
Santa Fe has some options for vegans, this by far was the best! It was expensive, more of a special occasion meal, but worth it. The kitchen tries to be accommodating to vegans and will go out of their way. We LOVED the mole, absolutely delicious, as well as the red and green chile enchiladas. Many ingredients are organic. The wine selection is wonderful, the staff very attentive and professional, the food incredible. A must when visiting Santa Fe! Make a reservation or get there early to queue for dinner, most days reservations are required or be prepared to be turned away,
Read morePros: Large portions, Attentive Staff, Organics and local produce used
