Op goed gelukt gingen we naar Charlie’s om te lunchen. Het was enorm druk, maar gelukkig was er nog een plekje vrij aan de grote tafel. Op de menukaart was het niet te zien of een gerecht vegan was of vegan gemaakt kon worden. Ik vroeg het aan het zaalpersoneel, zij ging het direct navragen bij de keuken. Het regenweer deed me verlangen naar warme soep, de dagsoep was gelukkig vegan én heel erg smaakvol!
Pros: Heel snelle bediening , prachtige presentatie van de gerechten
Cons: Menukaart zonder ‘vegan’-labels

Cute spot but tends to get quite busy so I would recommend making a reservation beforehand. Glutenfree possible. They also have plant milk for drinks. Fresh slow pressed juice, you can choose your own 3 ingredients. Food was fresh and nicely presented. Ask for vegan options. I had the toast gezond and my friend had the toast champignon, the mushrooms are normally cooked with butter so ask for it to be adjusted so it’s vegan.

For lunch I ordered a toast with hummus and avocado which was ok but nothing too special.

Loved this cosy place. Was there with good weather so enjoyed their terrace. Quite some room both inside and outside. Large menu with many different breakfast / lunch options, also for non-vegans. Will definitely visit again when in Antwerp!

Mega veel koffie opties - Edit
Super gezellige plek. Veel vegan opties, personeel denkt goed mee. Eindeloos veel koffie opties, mogelijkheid om gerechten aan te passen. Leuke zitplekken, fijne sfeer. Prijs/kwaliteit is top, lijkt een fancy plek maar de prijs valt vervolgens mee. Top!

Fantastisch ontbijt in heel mooi pand - Edit
In de leuke buurt zuid, nabij het museum voor Schone kunsten ligt dit geweldig leuke restaurant. Het ontbijt was echt heel goed en smaakvol.

Cosy atmosphere with very friendly service - Edit
We came across Charlie's while scrolling through the options of our "Breakfast & Bubbles" Bongo voucher and figured they might have some vegan options. We called them to make sure they did and it was not a problem: she knew exactly what was vegan and what wasn't. We found a table near the window and were offered the option of replacing the sparkling wine with fresh orange juice, which we did. Then she brought us coffee, which was really good. Next came our breakfast: sliced bread, hummus, creamy tofu spread with fresh herbs, pear-vanilla jam, raspberry jam, homemade chocolate spread and puff pastries. Definitely recommendable, especially when you have a Bongo voucher that will expire soon, just like we did!
