Only 2 options when busy

The first time I went to this restaurant, the kitchen was very busy and so the waitress said that I couldn't order any curries because they would have to be done from scratch to be vegan. She then said that my only 2 options were dumplings or noodles (neither containing much protein).

I took the noodles (vegetarian chow mein that is actually vegan). They were actually nice, and the portion was enormous. I just really would have preferred to have had some tofu thrown in for the protein or some sauce to go along with it. They offered me ketchup which I didn't think agreed with the noodles.

Still thinking about their curries, about a week later I came back to the restaurant to order chana masala for takeaway. I ordered it spicy (the two options for all of their food are mild and spicy, which is quite spicy so beware). I've had a lot of spicy curries before and I never had the spiciness hide the flavours of the curry so I must conclude that this curry was actually quite bland. It was very watery as well and I find chana masala more thick and creamy normally. There was too much oil in every spoon I had. Quite disappointing in the end:(

Pros: Huge portion of noodles, The noodles were nicely charred

Cons: Disappointing oily curry, Inattentive staff

plenty options, very tasty

we shared a chickpea curry, vegetable biriyani and fried momo. They were really delicious. We went for the mild options but i think i would have preferred a little spicier. The portion sizes were big but it was on the pricier side.
