Okay, not waw - Edit
Folks working there were really sweet. I wish the food was up to the service’s standard… my quiche was dried out, and the salad had 0 dressing. I got a cheese croissant with cheese on the side ( because they ran out of the sausage roll I really wanted) and thank god because the quiche (€14) would’ve never sufficed.

Nice - Edit
Even though it took a while until they served our order, it was worth the wait. Can recommend.

Disappointing - Edit
The staff was very friendly but the food was not good. I think the main problem was that some of the most important ingredients were not fresh/homemade (hummus)and of low quality (hummus, cheese sustitutes) , and the kitchen chef was not able to season well, so it was all a little flavourless.

Super nice place - Edit
The place was great, as was the food. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, cute interior - and very tasty breakfast. We had the full English and a Bagel, both of which were very good. The scrambled tofu was a bit disappointing, but was made up for by incredible vegan sausages.

Okay-ish and overpriced - Edit
It took them a while to take our order. And many things on the menu were out of stock. We came round 12:30 and we couldnt order breakfast or lunch deals. The salmon bagel was okay, but the bagel was kinda sweet like a brioche. The salmon itself was good with some creamcheese but small portion. The coffee was very good.

Twice disappointed - Edit
I had been looking forward to trying Clo for quite some time, so I was excited when I finally had the chance to go. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. I started with the *hartige zoete aardappel wafel*, which reminded me of something similar I had enjoyed abroad. However, the waffle was dry, the taste was bland, and overall disappointing. The arugula was overwhelming, with far too many tough stems that made it unpleasant to eat.
Read moreDespite my initial disappointment, I decided to give Clo another chance since I happened to be nearby. This time, I ordered the *toast van het moment* — a tuna salad toast — and requested gluten-free bread. With only two other customers present, it was surprising that it took over 30 minutes for them to prepare a simple toast. When it finally arrived, the bread seemed old and excessively hard, which made it difficult to enjoy. While the tuna salad itself was decent, the overall experience was again underwhelming.
Sadly, I can't recommend Clo based on these visits.

Nice place with a big outdoor area - Edit
I had the English Breakfast and a coffee. It was quite nice.
Read moreBut I don’t know if Antwerp is expensive in general or the vegan food places are just overpriced… 19 bucks for the breakfast plate is way too expensive I my world…
They have a big outdoor sitting area and also a big sitting area inside. It does look pretty cozy and the waitress was also very friendly and speaks at least Dutch, English and French 😅👍 Wow!
Pros: lots of varieties
Cons: overpriced

Great! - Edit
We went here for lunch. The food was amazing and service super friendly. They accidentally forgot our food order but were quick to fix this and gave us a drink on the house as apology. Had a hard time to decide what to order because the menu is 👌👌👌

Must visit! - Edit
Great place with great food and insanely kind people. The pita is great and their hearty sweet potato waffle is even greater. A must visit for any vegan and non-vegan passing through Antwerp.

Wonderful local restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere and very friendly staff that was happy to explain the menu, since an English one was not available. Many savory options and good prices! We enjoyed it a lot.

Nice cozy cafe in the city. We arrived in Antwerp very hungry but outside lunch hours and they have really nice healthy quiches, toasts, and light meals served until 5pm. Everything was quite nice. The dessert was delicious. Staff was very friendly

Disappointed :( - Edit
“Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was disappointing. The food left much to be desired—it tasted predominantly bland and uninspired, lacking the depth of flavor or the special touch one hopes for when dining out. Although the staff were consistently nice and tried their best, it could not compensate for the culinary shortcomings. Another point of criticism is the absence of English menus, which can be a significant barrier for non-German-speaking guests.

It was pretty loud here, us having headaches from the night before was not ideal😅 They also didn't have the things I wanted (worstenbroodje, fresh orange juice) so I had to change my order. The food we did get was nice though! We had the waffels and salmon bagel

Relaxed place, nice lunch - Edit
Nice cosy place.
Read moreHad a sweet potato waffle with hummus, topped with ruccola, pesto, sundried tomatoes, olives (14€). And for dessert a warm appelflap with icecream (4,5€).
Loved it!
Homemade lemonade with ginger (4,5€) was also nice!
Very friendly service. Didn't have to wait long.
They participate in 'Enchante', so you can (voluntarily) give a donation to treat someone with a meal or drink, which I did. Great initiative!
Old school type chairs, and some cushions here and there (luckily I had one, so some more would be nice to make it more comfy).
One step to get in the resto - very small ramp in front - but not broad enough for wheelchair use.
Only one toilet (not accessible), so a bit of a wait.
Outdoor seating on benches outside - and in front (where bicycles are stationed in Winter time).
Gave them a Happy Cow window sticker. Hope they put it up!
All in all: had a very nice and relaxed lunch.

Best vegan breakfast - Edit
Absolutely lovely and cozy café with a great palette of vegan breakfast choices. Highly recommend the salmon bagel as well as the English breakfast. Coffee (oat milk by default but there are other plant based options) and matcha are great, too. Would make a reservation in advance as they seem to be busy most of the time. Service was nonetheless superb! Will definitely come back!
