Best vegan Confectionery - Edit
I barely made it before the 3:30 pm. closing time on my last day in NYC. I literally got there 20 min before closing, and man, am I happy this was one of my last places to visit before flying to Denver. I knew I wanted to try the macaroons since they're one of my favorite desserts. So I got an order of 8, almost every flavor they had. My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed them. I would definitely go back. They have an assortment of pastries and chocolates to choose from in addition to adorable merchandise that would make a great gift for a sweets lover. Highly recommend you go. Did I mention it's vegan ! Amazed by this gem.

So many options for the vegan macarons - Edit
You know it’s good when I only remember to take the picture of the front door and sitting area but finish the food too fast and didn’t even take the picture of the food 😆😆😆

Top-notch yumminess - Edit
It's probably for the best that the desserts in this all-vegan dessert store are on the pricey side--otherwise, it would be hard to resist gorging yourself on the sweets.

*chef's kiss* confectionary! is so so good! these are the best vegan macarons i've tried, and that's saying something since i lived in paris! there are so many unique and delicious flavors and they are constantly on rotation, so you can always try something new! i admit i haven't tried much else here except a lavender caramel filled chocolate bar which was also amazing. worth the walk (off main roads at the end of a street a bit) and the cost, highly recommend

I can eat macarons again, finally! - Edit
Before this weekend, the last time I ate french macarons was 8 years ago, at the classic Ladureé macaron shop. That was before I went vegan & I wasn't able to find animal product-free macarons, until now!
Read moreSweet Maresa's vegan macarons have the exact same texture as those at Ladureé. At 11 USD for 4 pieces and 20 USD for 8, I would say the prices are fair for this specialty dessert, for sure!

Go Here Now! - Edit
This may not be the easiest place to find, being located away from major tourist attractions and on a crowded street and being a very small shop. But, do yourself a favor, and make it a point to find it. You will not be disappointed! The chocolate is superb and the macarons are better than the place that rhymes with “blah-blur-blay."

So many delicious options! - Edit
Friendly staff, cool and fun vibe and great dessert options! I tried the macarons, some chocolates, and cookies and everything was so delicious! Really enjoyed the smoke chocolate chip cookie. They also have some pantry/non-baked good things you can buy like pistachio milk, chocolate hazelnut spread, vegan cheese, buttons, bags, etc. Will be going back to try more!

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve bought from Confectionary! in person and ordered online. They’re macarons are a vegan Holy Grail. And all their other treats are equally delicious and indulgent.

Lagusta’s Luscious Confectionery - Edit
My best advice for you... stop what you're doing right now and head over to the Confectionery immediately if you can!
Read moreConfectionery has over 20 vegan macaroon options, tons of chocolates, and other desserts. Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? I'm not used to all of these options!!! :)
Needless to say, I settled on a box of 12 (~$30) and as soon as they safely made it back to my hotel, I took a little bite out of all of them (I couldn't help myself). My favorites were the earl grey and the rose macaroons. Extra delicious!

Amazing vegan treats! - Edit
I don’t regret going vegan, but I admit that I grieved the loss of macarons in my life. So, you can imagine how excited I was to learn that there was a place in NYC that sold vegan ones! Not only were these super delicious, but they were also more beautiful than any non-vegan macarons I’ve seen prior. The shop is very cute, and the staff is nice as well!

Really small shop, tasty macarons - Edit
I've heard of this place on a YouTube channel and decided to pop in briefly during my NYC visit. I did not do much research prior to my visit, so I was quite disappointed there is no coffee served, so you cannot enjoy a coffee and cake... There are about 2 places to sit, though.
Read moreTheir selection of cakes is not great, the core of the business are cookies and macarons, of which they have many different flavours, really hard to choose! I tried two of each: pistachio/chocolate cookie, almond/marzipan cookie, earl grey macaron and passion fruit/white chocolate macaron.
I found the cookies quite dry, small and generally not exceptional. Macarons were great. Their chocolates looked yummy, too! The prices are pretty high. The staff were really nice and gave me loads of advice and recommendation.
Pros: Pricey, Not too many places to sit and no coffee served
Cons: Staff, Great vegan macarons

So good! - Edit
I’ve visited Confectionary many times and never leave disappointed. My only complaint is that I’m always tempted to buy way more than I originally intended. Everything is so damn good! The service is great too! I guess a few items are a little pricey but you get what you pay for!
