Come really hungry! - Edit
We ordered only 2 main dishes, but ended up being given a lot of free, delicious food, such as rice, soup, greens, a tofu dish and a potatoey/tapiocaey dish; a little bit of everything (although a lot of rice) and it was all so delicious.
Read moreI don’t know how they made their ‘vegan braised ‘beef’’; is it soya or seitan or tofu or something else, whatever it is, it’s absolutely yummy. Affordable prices, and we were happy to tip generously

Incredible - Edit
The best food we’ve had in Vietnam by far. Service was great - the owner is very proud of his restaurant and as he should be! The menu does have meat on it BUT there is a seperate section upstairs for vegan only customers upstairs and they let you know you will see meat if you go downstairs when you order. There’s so much free food as an entree as well

Great service and delicious food! - Edit
The staff were super helpful, even showing us how you should eat the food. We ordered one dish each and a side however it was way too much because the restaurant provides 3 separate dishes completely free of charge!! So we ended up with way too much food which put us into a food coma! They have a separate kitchen which is upstairs where they cook the vegetarian/vegan food and a kitchen downstairs for meat eaters, this worked well for us as my partner eats meat.

Dinner Jan 30th - Edit
We loved eating here! Only order one dish per person as they give you many side dishes as well. We were personally instructed in how to eat the tofu dish by the owner. A great place! Fully vegetarian.

Very good but NOT vegetarian restaurant! - Edit
A truly wonderful place, but it is NOT a vegetarian restaurant (which was OK for us since my partner eats meat), I was a bit surprised to see meals with chicken, duck etc. just because I thought it was vegetarian. The prices are quite expensive — I chose sweet sour vegan ribs (very good!) which was 115K, my partner’s was 175K. But for this you also get a free starter and some sort of simple soup which makes the prices more reasonable. A small water bottle was 25K though, maybe bring your own if you are on a budget as us and also want to enjoy a beer hehe.

Great vegetarian & vegan food - Edit
We loved the atmosphere here. It is a family owned place that makes you feel welcome and you will for sure not leave hungry. Besides the things we ordered they also served other side dishes. Everything was vegetarian and very delicious

Don't order more than one thing per person! You get loads of rice and tofu and veg for free, what you order is supplementary. The vegan ribs are the best and the crab claws are mind-blowing

AMAZING! - Edit
A little tricky to find but SO worth it! The food is delicious, the staff are fantastic and it really feels like an authentic Vietnamese experience. No matter what you order they will bring you a whole bunch of free “side dishes” (they are huge) and show you how best to combine the foods and eat. Disappointed we only discovered this place on our last day in Hanoi or we would have returned.

Food for soul as well as tummy - Edit
Sometimes you come across people who are pure at heart and in few minutes of interaction you can figure that out after meeting William the owner.
Read moreWe found about this place on happycow app which is a directory of all vegan food restaurant around the world
The place has a very basic ambience tucked away on 2nd floor of a old residential building in the main market .
However as soon as you enter the warmth of the place takes you in .
To everyone who visits time surprise , one gets sticky rice , tofu gravt , salad , freshly made lemon chilli dip and spinach ginger soup as complimentary starter while your alacarte dish arrives .
Mr William makes it a point to show how to eat Vietnamese food ...he showed how to eat with chopsticks , take rice in a small bowl , pick a tofu drip in the lemon dip then salad and everything then together makes your first bite
Food quality & taste outstanding.
He also tells his heart warming story from being raised as a street child to now a social entrepreneur and also riding a bike taxi for grab. He was part of team of chef who served president Clinton.
I was overwhelmed , the affection , variety and quantity of food coming from a humble soul who loves feeding people touched my soul.
Bill for the 1st time seemed too low for the experience, we gave a generous tip to lady who was serving us under guidance of Mr William.
May God bless him and his team.
Pros: Spinach ginger soup, Tofu , Vegan chicken in BBQ sauce
Cons: Too much quantity, cant finish , Limited drink options

Really cool experience and so much food - Edit
Little restaurant down a back alley and up some stairs, run by an ex street child (his words). You choose between about 8 starters all 75k, then a vegan meat 75k and then about 10 vegetable dishes also 75k. The restaurant then gives for free a tofu dish and soup. So it ends up being way too much food.
Read moreIt's quite cosy and the staff somehow keeping on coming with food
There were 2 of us and it ended up being too much so maybe omit one of the dishes.

Tasty dishes and so much food! - Edit
We had such an amazing meal here. Every dish was very tasty and the portions were huge. Word of warning: choose a main dish from the first two pages and then you'll also be brought a bunch of different sides for free (explained on the last page of the menu): two types of tofu with veg, salad, and rice, and our hosts were happy to refill any of these. You can potentially end up with a lot of food so we didn't order a side, and I think that was a good choice, although the fresh spring rolls looked lush.
Read moreWe had the fake chicken and the squash. Both things were good, but the sides were the stars of the show, especially the larger chunks of tofu which were brought to us first.
It's not that easy to spot: the doorway under a black sign with white writing that says 'Sen trang an cumulus'. This is a bit confusing as there is another listing on happy cow for Sen trang an, but I think they're the same place. Go in here and down the corridor until you get to some stairs. Go up the stairs and you will emerge into the restaurant.

Soooo good! - Edit
Crazy restaurant that gives you so much free food! You can choose a soup, fake meat dish or a vegetable dish (or all of them) and the owner will keep topping you up when you’re finished. You also get an incredible free tofu dish with rice, salad and a freshly made lime chilli dip. All the food was incredible and the whole meal was really good value for money. 100% recommend if you’re starving!

The food was amazing! We ordered the vegan chicken, spring rolls (fresh & fried) and the banana flower salad. Additional to every meal you get tofu in tomato sauce, fresh herbs and soup! The food was amazing and the owners really friendly. The owner also shared his moving life story. Please support them by going to this little gem 🥰

so much food - Edit
it seems to be a little confusing as to the name of this restaurant as all of the listing on this street seem to be for the same place with different names, the restaurant is down a little alley which you should see a sign that says sen tran an cumulus and then head down the alley and up the stairs on the right which has a sign saying restaurant this way. we ordered one dish as we weren’t very hungry and what arrived was a soup, rice, salad, a tofu dish and the chicken dish we had ordered as well as a chilli and citrus sauce and we were shown how to take a little of each thing and dip in the sauce. everything was so so tasty and it was a huge amount of food for the price. would really recommend a visit and read the story of the owner, a very lovely man who is very thankful for visitors.

Best food we had in two weeks. - Edit
I can't rate this highly enough. After eating our way around vietnam for two weeks this was the nicest food we had anywhere. It's a set menu where you order one vegan meet option and then wait until your table is full of amazing dishes. We had the beef and the chicken options our first visit, both were great and on our second visit we went for just the beef as the portion sized were so big. Even still, we were given an extra dish (banana - it was delicious). There was well enough for two in one of the set menus and it cost only 95d. You walk through a hallway off the street, and it's upstairs on the left. Again, I can rate this highly enough. #Veganuary
