We took the seitan steak, it wasn't indicated what came with it, so I thought the steak would be huge for 28,50 euro (yes, very expensive). The seitan was rather small, and with it came vegetables and rice. It was quite okay, but not price-quality (for that price more seitan would need to be served). 28.50 euro for a dish...I have never before paid that in a restaurant in this category.
When I asked if it was vegan, she said that they could make it vegan by using plant based cream, but the seitan and mushrooms came without a sauce...not okay.
After a recommendation we visited the restaurant and chose to sit outside. It was beautiful to be directly at the water. The food was tasty and there was quite a variety of things on the plate. Note that it's a bit nicer and bio and therefore more expensive.
Leuke zaak/winkel
I liked the food very much. Ask for the vegan menu and you will get a big plate full of different veggies and vegan dishes. Since the restaurant is at the back of a store, it is not always clear that you can sit and eat, especially after hours. I did not visit the shop. The restaurant is not entirely vegan, nor vegetarian.
Large store with some veg’n items, including at the deli and pastries. Fresh produce, canned and packaged foods, non-food items. I did not notice the eatery.
Panda has existed as long as I can remember!
Often went there for lunch in the nineties, and it seems not much has changed since then (my last visit for lunch is from a couple of years back though). Traditional plat du jour style dish, culinairy not very exciting.
Went to the shop not so long ago. they have the 'ususal suspects' like plant drinks and bread spreads, but all in all not a really big offer for vegans.
The health food shop is spacious, and it contains a lot of organic and vegan options both food and non-food. Their seitan is really good.
The restaurant can serve sometimes very delicious food, but their general daily meals can be very macrobiotic, meaning sober and not so specially spiced. For those who want a healthy meal, it can be the ideal place.
Note that they also serve fish, so I wouldn't call this a vegetarian restaurant.
This restaurant, hidden in back of their food store, is a real fine food find. they make their own seitan, and its texture is vastly superior to any I have had before. The entire meal was excellent, the atmosphere very pleasant, somewhat casual, and an overall great experience. Going back again soon.
I did not get a chance to taste the restaurant here, but came for some vegan food supplies. Staff was knowledgeable and labels of fresh food was clear (vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free)
I visited early December. The restaurant is at the back of a very good health food shop but isn't 100% veggy. It does offer fish dishes but the menu is clear for veggys.

Pros: Quite healthy and fresh food, Nice terrace along the river
Cons: Way too expensive , Friendliness could be better, a smile maybe?
