Delicious Donuts

These donuts are nice and fluffy in texture like your typical donut. They have unique flavors and classic flavors. The creme brule and peanut butter and jelly are delicious. It seems like their sizes vary a bit so the pb&j one was the biggest donut in the box.

Pros: So many options

so many donuts so many flavors

This is a fully vegan establishment. They no longer serve dairy milk for coffee, which apparently pissed off a lot of breastmilk consumers. There's all sorts of flavors for donuts baked daily, and they have a small selection of ice cream. I like their polar berry donut and for ice cream I like to get the strawberry ice cream with strawberry pieces, strawberry jam, and a few donut holes in the mix. They can bake large batches and they even have large 9 inch donuts if you ask!

Pros: variety

Best donuts in L.A

This place was amazing. They have their own donuts you can buy out of the case or hundreds of combinations when you make your own. The staff was very friendly when I was overwhelmed looking at all the different options and didn't rush me in making my choice.

Pros: Delicious donuts, Friendly staff

PERFECTION

The best donuts you’ll ever taste! They have the perfect texture and flavour! All vegan. All mouth watering and will leave you craving more. There are so many incredible flavours to pick from! Do yourself a favor and try the xray speculoos and apple fritter. My mom hates sweets but LOVES their apple fritters!

All vegan, all tastes like heaven!

They have huge variety of vegan doughnuts, some of them are customizable! It's a little bit pricey but all worth it because they are super delicious. I prefer yeast donuts to cake donuts, and Donut Friend has done it RIGHT! They have 20+ flavors to choose from, and I cannot wait to conquer all of them!

Amazing Vegan Donuts

Donut Friend is a specialty proprietor of mostly plant-based, extremely fancy delicious donuts! You'll have fun trying to figure out what punk bands they're named for, and then you'll have fun eating them! My favorite is the apple fritter, Fritter Seems Forever, (Further Seems Forever), but S'Morrissey is also an instant classic, being a S'mores donut named after Morrissey. It's bright and clean and nice inside, and they're open for takeout right now! Order ahead on their website, it's easy.

Pros: Large Selection, Delicious Donuts, Espresso Drinks Available

Cons: A little expensive, Hard to find parking nearby

Never Not A Good Time

Always friendly staff, large selection of unique flavors and a DIY donut bar in case you don’t see what you want. The ice cream is some of the best vegan ice cream I’ve ever had with many classic staple flavors. The GF-ish donut is super tasty - so glad they have that option! Easy to get to from the metro or Grand Central Market.

Pros: Plenty of options, Amazing ice cream, Convenient location

The creme brûlée is my fave!

I’m so happy they opened a second branch, DTLA is more accesible and easy to get to. The variety is nuts! The store is beautiful, all the displays, the ice cream, the beverages, those colorful donuts! Seriously, so damn good, they are all so pretty, ugh, I just got hungry again!

Pros: All vegan!, Amazing variety

Huge variety of vegan donuts

I prefer savory food to sweet food, but after a late night show and early morning, we made a trek to Donut Friend and it did not disappoint! There is a massive variety to choose from, and I happily scarfed down an entire box of options.

🍩

Finally good vegan yeast donuts which are harder to find (than cake donuts) where I’m from. All the donuts here are good but Saves the Danish, Custard Front Drive, The Strawberry So Far, and the donut holes are my favorites!

Tons of choice

Only went here once but the choice of donuts was staggering, at least 20 to choose from! I opted for the maple glazed original and was amazing. Will come here again when I’m in town next

Flavoursome options

Overwhelming options for donuts here and way less busy than the Eagle Rock location (actually convenient to access with metro - Pershing Square). I went early in the morning and found the place mostly empty. Staff was attentive and made made-to-order donuts from the website. There were so many options, but at 3-4$ a pop, one has to limit their desires. Besides I had two donuts and I was sugar-rushing. I recommend the berry topped one and cream cheese filled donuts.

Pros: Vegan donuts, so many options, vegan nutella and cream cheese

Cons: pricey, very limited seating

Best donuts around

This was my favorite donut place long before I was vegan and I was so stoked to find out that I was still able to have them when I fully transitioned! The vanilla and chocolate whipped cream fillings are amazing and so are the ice creams. The frosting toppings are also good but just make sure you wait for them to harden if they’re too fresh so that way they’re not too messy. ^_^ My favorites are the fudgazzi, the matcha with whipped cream filling added and the apple fritter. You can also add mochi, fruit, and all sorts of crazy toppings and fillings if you’re feeling adventurous. I love that this place is all cruelty free and absolutely delicious.

Find better Friends

The donut I had looked good but was dry and lacked flavor. The staff was inattentive; one of them ignored me to helped the young, hip couple that came in after me. The decor and donuts looked cool, but it all seems superficial. No doubt this place is Instagram popular. Beyond the social credit and the appeal of vegan donuts (I noticed that they avoided the word "vegan"), this place is fine.

Pros: Vegan Donuts!

Cons: Expensive, not very Friendly

Will have to visit every time I come back to LA

Donut friend was one of my favorite experiences while in LA. I had a terrible addiction to Krispy kreme donuts as a kid and giving that up when I transitioned was hard. It’s a miracle that places like Donut friend exist, my guilty pleasure is back from the dead 😈

Pros: Lots of flavors

Favorite. Dessert. Ever!

Donuts and ice cream are my favorite things. But we all know that often these are not that great in vegan form. But not here. The donuts were all perfect - soft, fluffy, slightly chewy and not tooo covered with glazes and toppings so you can’t taste the dough. Best vegan donuts I have ever had by a long shot. But that is not all because they also offer several flavors of ice cream. So I just had to try the donut ice cream sandwich, washed down with some cold brew. I got the plain donut with cookies & cream ice cream and no toppings and it was PERRRFECT!!
Definitely my favorite dessert of ALL TIME and among the top 5 most memorable things I have ever eaten.
The venue itself was cool, clean and tastefully decorated. The only downside was lack of tables to sit at, they just have long benches. The food was soo good though that this did not detract from my enjoyment.

Pros: Huge selection of donut flavors, Good coffee

Cons: No tables at the venue
