Very relaxed vibe, nice interior and lots of vegan options. They also sell some organic and vegan products. I had the smoothiebowl here, which was good.😌

Take me back!!! - Edit
I would do anything to go back to Pai and eat at Earth Tone! Not only is the food great, the vibes are impeccable and just reading your book there for hours is super enjoyable. The salad bowls are delish, the coconut kefir drinks are insane. We went here as much as we could during our stay in Pai!

Really cool vibe, friendly and kind service and very clean health food options. They serve dairy and eggs, so be alert if you’re a vegan. Highly recommend

Very relaxed atmosphere, okay food - Edit
I stopped there for lunch after visiting the nearby Pagoda.
Read moreThe restaurant seems to be very popular, I even had to wait for a table to clear up. There is a hippie vibe to the whole place. The interior is quite nice, although the table setup could be a downside too. The seats are very low, some just cushions on the floor. Which was no problem for me, but should be noted.
The food itself is quite good, nothing extraordinary though.
Also, since there is a little riverstream running "through" the restaurant, there were a ton of mosquitoes even around noon, can't imagine how it would be in the evening.
A little expensive.
Pros: laid back atmosphere, mostly vegan
Cons: mosquitoes, little pricy and too crowded, Westernized hippie style (personal preference)

We found this vegan cafe on the side of a hill in Pai. They had a good menu with lots of choices, the food that we ordered was really yummy and service was great. Will definitely be returning.

Superb sandwiches and disastrous drinks - Edit
This bamboo bohemian-style restaurant is located at the base of the hill leading to the White Buddha, making it an ideal spot to fuel up or wind down before or after some sight-seeing. The restaurant’s interior has a rustic, outdoorsy feel with plenty of seating, especially since they recently extended their capacity with a lovely bright deck.
Read moreI first visited with my partner last year and at the time I wouldn’t have rated it more than a 3. The food tasted fresh though a little bland and, despite having ordered only avocado toast and a salad, took almost an hour to arrive. The coffee was particularly disappointing. My partner got the Vietnamese coffee which he said didn’t taste authentic, but worse than that was how it was served with condensed cow’s milk despite us specifying vegan. After mentioning this to staff, they offered him honey as an alternative..? I also don’t like how their breakfast page consists entirely of egg dishes, nor how they claim that they are ”happy eggs.”
Our more recent visit was a better experience, despite the fact prices have gone up and the coffee remains as awful as ever. Their ”Thai style coffee,” oh my! It tasted burnt, bitter and metallic, and came with a glass of what can only be described as used dish water. Maybe our palettes just aren’t refined enough for such *creative* flavours. That said, my mum got a regular cappuccino which was perfectly nice. I ordered the chocolate mint smoothie expecting something along the lines of a mint choc chip flavoured milkshake, as it was under the heading ”dessert blend.” It tasted more like mint leaves blended with banana. Not a fan.
What bumped this restaurant up to a 4 star rating for me was the sandwiches. We got the tempeh burger and the pulled mushroom sandwich which were massive and juicy! The side salad alone was really flavoursome. We also got the Super Cheesy Basket—roast potatoes loaded with mushroom stipe, tempeh, melty vegan cheese and plenty of mayo—very indulgent and filling. Three dishes between three people may not seem excessive, but we all left absolutely stuffed. When they mark certain dishes as ”big portion” on the menu, believe them!
Pros: Nice bamboo interior 🎍, Enormous sandwiches 🥪
Cons: Serve eggs and dairy 🐣, Awful coffee 💩

Great atmosphere, banana splits, and cheesy bbq fries - Edit
Okay, we can never have banana splits as vegans, but they have it here with all the sauces and whipped cream and everything, so go enjoy it!! The ice cream is so good. My favorite was the chocolate mocha one.
Read moreMy favorite item on the menu was surprisingly the super cheesy basket. I looked at it a few times and didn’t order it because it sounded like junk food that wouldn’t fill me up, but oh my gosh. When I finally ordered it, I was so happy. It’s huge and is actually like a proper meal with tempeh and everything. The cheese is amazing, and the barbecue mushrooms are so freaking good. Add some chili sauce, and it’s perfect. If you’re even interested in this item but feel like you won’t be full or it’ll be boring, no just order it. It’s amazing and the flavor is perfect.
Also got the Buddha bowl and the Thai spice bowl (it was so spicy). They were both great, but I liked the Buddha bowl more. I wish I could eat those cheesy barbecued fries one more time…

Taste-wise the vegan banana/chocolate/peanut ice cream was great but it felt like it might have been defrosted a bit and refrozen as it was a little crystallised in parts.

Good food in a lovely setting - Edit
After so many reviewers recommended the Tempeh Sandwich I had to try it and it didn't disappoint. The slightly spicy peanut sauce combined with the tempeh was the perfect choice. I just wish it came with a healthier salad alternative than a coleslaw.

Cooked with meat in the kitchen!! - Edit
I really loved this place. We were there every day and they have really good vegan food. Also the ice cream was delicious and you can buy a lot of organic stuff there. But then I saw, that they where cutting meat in the kitchen. I could see and hear it and it was so disgusting. I choosed this restaurant, because I wanted to eat in a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. This is an absolute No Go for a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. I hope they won’t do it again because I really loved this place and the atmosphere here.
