Great philosolhy, love the breakfast - Edit
This has become my default breakfast place when I’m in Bologna. Definitely like the decor and the description as a queer anti-speciest refuge. They have a sign that reads “Be part of a more vegan and more queer world.” I couldn’t agree more! The juice was good but the cinnamon roll was a bit dry. Other baked goods are fantastic.

Carinissimo locale 100 % vegan, aperto dalla mattina alle 7 fino al pomeriggio, a pranzo propone una proposta di piatto unico 1 o 2 o 3 contorni, il menù varia ogni giorno. Grande scelta di dolci e torte, davvero il loro punto di forza ( cinnamon roll e roll al cioccolato invece poco dolci e un po’ troppo stoppacciosi). Assolutamente da provare!

An awesome restaurant that openly embraces vegan, feminist, and antispeciesist values, which I really appreciate. The food is always good. They serve breakfast, lunch, and aperitivos every day, with a menu that changes daily. From Thursday to Saturday they also offer dinner, and on Saturdays there's brunch until 1 pm. I've visited many times and never once regretted it. The staff are super friendly, and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. My only complaint would be that the portions can sometimes be a bit on the smaller side.

Soup and salad was delicious! Freshly made, and was amazing! The desserts, carrot cake, and chocolate cheesecake were also amazing! This is by far the best vegan food my husband and I have had since we've been here in Italy (2 weeks). Thank you Estravagario!

i went to Estravagario for a special event: for 25€ i ate an entire menu (appetizer, first dish, second and dessert) from a typical regional cuisine, in this case Puglia.

all vegan place which is also queer-friendly. it gets very busy during lunch time but they have a table where many strangers can sit together so it's possible to get a seat when you're alone.
Read morethey have 3 main and 3 side dishes each day which are announced on their website. unfortunately, it's not available in english but staff can explain.
i chose one main and a side for 13€ and was surprised by the size. was good tastewise but not special. so value for money is good.
they have many desserts including cakes ans tiramisu that looked good.

It's a small café/restaurant, but quite cute interior. The staff was really friendly and patient. We only had a capuccino with oat Milk and a pastry with it, but I would defintely come back for another coffee or lunch/dinner. Everything was vegan which is a huge pro!

Fully vegan restaurant. The food is delicious. The portions are not small but also not very filling. So might want to order several options if you are hungry. So the price might go up. But verything was delicious. That is except the pistachio cake. Must have been lying there for the entire week. Too bad for an otherwise wonderful place.

A lot of vegans, including me, overlook the non-vegan options in a city, but in this case, the best vegan food we had in Bologna was definitely at this vegetarian organic restaurant.

We had a very velvety, delicious soup, and some bread with various spreads that tasted absolutely delightful. It may not sound or look like much, but everything tasted so fresh and clean that we wished we would have come here sooner.

We had the happy hour set menu, so for €15 each we had a plate of two starters (chard with lemon, peppers, served with bread), a main meal (I had lentil medallions, he had lasagne), and a drink (carrot juice and wine). It was all delicious, particularly the starters and juice. Staff were so friendly - taking time to explain the menu to us as it wasn’t in English, which was very sweet. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and really not far from train station etc. So glad we checked HappyCow. Also staff weren’t aware of HappyCow - they had asked if we had a recommendation for the restaurant - so we explained the website.

Small organic vegetarian restaurant, warm and relaxed atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff (but a bit slow service), a good price/quality ratio. Estravagario is also a fair trade cafeteria where you can find herbal teas and infusions, fresh fruit and vegetables juices, homemade snacks and desserts, with some vegan options.
Read moreI went here for dinner and my overall experience was very satisfying: I ate chestnut gnocchi with mushrooms, excellent seitan cutlets in orange sauce with mixed salad and a vegan walnut strudel. The plates change every day. Unfortunately it's not open most evenings for dinner or Sundays.

This is my all time favourite veg restaurant in Northern Italy. I live in Milan and often travel to Bologna only to taste the succulent dishes this cosy restaurant serves. Staff and atmosphere are informal and totally unintrusive. All dishes are well presented, with mouthwatering smells and packed with flavours. Estravagario means opening up to a tasty and exquisite meal, that turns out to be very light as well. Honestly, I could never get enough.
