Dresdens first vegan restaurant. Menu includes a seitan burger and other veggie burgers, plus appetizers, German and European food, soups, pasta, local beer and wine. Each day rotating choices of main dishes ad desserts. The location also operates as an art gallery with exhibitions, sometimes with live music and has a reading corner with books. Cozy atmosphere. Open Mon-Fri 17:00-22:00, Sat-Sun 13:00-22:00.

Bestes Restaurant in Dresden für immer wieder abwechslungsreiche Küche. Durch die wechselnde Wochenkarte kann man hier immer wieder was neues finden. Aber auch in der regulären Karte kann man mit dem Nussbraten oder den Burgern überhaupt nichts falsch machen. Insgesamt setzt man im Hasen statt Fleisch- oder Käseersatz gefühlt v.a. auf besondere Gemüseküche, was ich in Dresden einzigartig und super finde.

Leckeres Essen in schöner Atmosphäre - Edit
Obwohl ich schon seit Jahren in Dresden wohne, war ich erst vor kurzem das erste Mal dort. Und ich muss sagen: eindeutig zu spät! Das Essen war sehr lecker (vor allem zu empfehlen: die Vorspeisenplatte für 2), der Hinterhof ist super gemütlich und der Service war auch gut (freundlich + schnell). Ich kann dieses Restaurant guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen!

We had dinner here on May 25, 2024. It's only open at dinner time and we made special plans to make sure that we could dine here. But I have to say that the restaurant did not live up to its hype.
Read moreI had the pasta special of the day which consisted of overcooked pasta and broccoli in a creamy sauce. I felt that a big pot of it was made in advance and kept warm, resulting in mushy pasta and overcooked broccoli
My companion had the burger with the soy steak. It was definitely better tasting than the pasta.
However, the service was excellent! Our waitress spoke English very well and gave us wonderful service, even moving us to a nicer table when one became available.
Prices were very fair and portions were large.

The selection is very tasty. We ate the cabbage rolls, a solyanka and a burger. Everything was very tasty and the portions were large. We especially liked the tomato seitan in combination with the cheese on the burger. The price is worth it for the quality. The staff were a bit overwhelmed, but very friendly.

They offer typical vegan German food. We had the starter plate for 2 and were absolutely amazed. It was already a lot so it we had trouble to finish the main dishes, which were really good but a bit pricy. They also offer deserts.

Ich bestellte den Nussbraten mit Bohnen und Kartoffeln und mein Partner den Sojaburger.

Ich bekam zwei Scheiben Nussbraten, die Kartoffeln entpuppten sich als Gnocchie. Die Soße zum sehr süßen Braten war eine deftig Barbecuesoße. Für meinen Geschmack war der Braten zu süß, eine Scheibe hätte mir gereicht. Von den leckeren Bohnen hätte ich mehr essen können.
Dafür schmeckte der Sojaburger klasse. Das Steak ähnliche Patti war knusprig und fest, fast etwas zäh, aber gerade das machte ihn aus.

Mein Mann und ich lieben dieses Lokal, da das Essen hervorragend ist und das Personal sehr sympathisch. Eine Reservierung empfiehlt sich. Ich genoss den Nussbraten, mein Mann Pfannkuchen. Beides schmeckte hervorragend. Die Portionen sind groß. Wir versuchen immer, wenn wir in Dresden sind, dort zu essen. Spontan hat man manchmal kein Glück, wenn man nicht im Garten sitzen möchte, daher lieber reservieren.

We came on a hot evening and their cozy backyard was fully booked from opening to closing. We decided to take a quick meal and had an hour to eat, so we were able to sit in the backyard.

We ordered the pasta dish of the day and their regular spaghetti dish. The food was good, but the pear juice wasn't cold, which was unfortunate in such hot weather.
The regular spaghetti dish was a bit too simple, I would have liked more tomatoes and crunchy topping, maybe some shredded tofu to make it a more fulfilling meal. A simple spaghetti dish is lovely but at a restaurant I need some "more" and actually got a bit bored with the dish.
Staff was sweet and lovely :-)
NB. Remember to book a table if you want to sit in the backyard. You have the table for two hours.

Von Suppe über Vorspeisenteller und Hauptgang war alles nicht nur köstlich, sondern auch reichlich. Die Preise waren durchweg sehr fair und auch mit etwas schmalerem Budget bekommt man eine super Mahlzeit.

It has a nice alternative atmosphere and friendly staff. I was lucky to get a place to sit because the restaurant was fully booked. The food was very delicious. I had the nutroast , the chocolate souffle and a tall glass of pear juice. I wanted to lick the plate so good. Little surprised by the end bill which was about 5 euro higher than the english paper menu. The menu on the website has the correct prices. That being said, well worth it! Very friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

Top 3 vegan places in Dresden - Edit
Small restaurant with small menu. Nice outdoor seating area in the summer below trees. In the winter I would recommend a reservation. Order the starters for two. This is the best and then I would recommend to take the main dish from the daily options on the wall. But the burger is also outstanding. And the vegan desserts are also great. (Bring cash)
