De wraps zijn precies zoals je ze voorstelt: lekker met een sausje, goede falafel, tomaat en komkommer. De falafel is lekker zacht en heerlijk warm. Je hebt in een korte tijd een heerlijke lunch. Binnen eten is nu (door corona?) niet mogelijk; enkel afhalen.

Falafel comes in many varieties. Fast food restaurants and supermarkets produce it in large batches and it shows. Their products are cheap, but simple.
Read more"FLFL" in the heart of Utrecht takes a different approach. They use fresh ingredients and make fresh falafel every day. Actually, when ordering it's not waiting and ready but the staff will actually carry out your order to ensure freshness. Being fresh and vegan, FLFL easily beats any fast food or supermarket product.
However, compared to other falafel specialists FLFL is just average. FLFL works exactly by the book and seems to follow the standard recipe to the letter. Therefore, it doesn't stand out in any way other than offering good falafel at a good price.

De falafel roll was lekker, maar niet 'OMG FANTASTISCH LEKKER!!!!!' De falafel balletjes waren naar mijn smaak net iets te krokant gebakken. Ik had de Falafel wrap XL en ik weet niet hoe klein de normale zijn, maar als je een goeie eter bent is het misschien slimmer om twee kleine te bestellen(?). Verder had ik hem spicy besteld maar daar was niks van terug te vinden. Als je niet van spicy houdt en wel een keer 'lekker gek' wilt doen, kan je je falafel wrap dus zeker een keer spicy bestellen. Dat overleef je makkelijk.

Het enige wat op smaak was, waren de balletjes. In mijn beleving had ik een wrap met falafel, komkommer en tomaat. Meer een 'ik heb geen geld meer dus kijk wat er nog in mijn koelkast ligt' rol dan een 'ik ga mezelf trakteren en lekker buiten de deur iets halen' rol.
Sorry voor de harde recensie, maar ik keek er echt naar uit om een nieuwe falafel zaak in Utrecht te ontdekken. Ik zeg niet dat ik noooooit meer terug kom, maar het zal niet mijn eerste keuze zijn om hier iets te halen.
De verpakking is wel top, zeker als je een gezellig picknick plekje zoekt aan de gracht (ivm corona maatregelen mocht er nog niet in het restaurant gegeten worden). Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en verwelkomt je met een glimlach.
