solid restaurant - Edit
the fried cheese appetizer was really good. It is something you don't get somewhere else. The staff was really nice and changed our dish because it was to bitter. The restaurant is super nicely decorated and they have a seating area outside. Definitely would come again and eat the cheese appetizer again.

Great food, and German! - Edit
Really nice atmosphere and German food veganised. The prices are a it high but it reflects the area and quality. Only resvation was that it was extremely formal which is a bit un-Berlin, but it's definitely a place to bring omni family members for a nice time. Especially grandparents!

WOW! - Edit
Also.
Cons: Etwas höhere Preisklasse, Wechselnde Gerichte -> Nicht sehr planbar!

Yay for Schnitzel Mondays! 🙌 - Edit
Monday is Schnitzel Mondays (the original is served everyday), and there are a variety including Hamburg style with fried "egg", Vienna Style, Cordon Bleu, etc. It took a few bites for me to get to the cheesy part of the cordon bleu but it was worth the tease. Wish the cheese was a little more spread out throughout the patty (although may be difficult to). Also my friend has the original schnitzel and enjoyed hers.

Thank you! - Edit
Thank you Försters for creating such an amazing and delicious VEGAN restaurant! Was there for about 5 or 6 times (on Xmas too, very good idea) and I never was disappointed. The Döner is really the best vegan Döner in town!

Försters serves you haute cuisine! Traditional German food from Schnitzel to Hirschbraten, 100% vegan and the finest of drinks...and then a crème brûlée to die for. What witchery is this?

Schnitzel love - Edit
Really cool to see a fully vegan restaurant that also does German cuisine as you can‘t find that very often. I had the schnitzel with potatoe as well as cucumber salad. It was soooo good! Would get it again next time. We also tried the goulasch, which was the weekly special. It was okay, but not great. The “meat“ was not tender enough to remind you of goulasch and the sauce was a bit too thin. The tiramisu we had for dessert was delicious. The girl who served us seemed to be new and slightly inexperienced, but she was very friendly so we didn‘t mind. Some dishes are slightly too expensive in my opinion, e.g. the tiramisu for 8 € and also some of the mains. Also, it was a bit strange that they had run out of their daily special soup at 7 pm. Overall pleasant experience and I would definitely come back to try other dishes or just get the schnitzel again. Worth mentioning the very clean bathrooms.

Perfect vegan place to take non-vegan friends - Edit
Förster is the kind of restaurant where you can bring non-vegan folks. They offer vegan twists on classics such as Gulasch. Excellent kitchen, very friendly staff and quiet neighbourhood. Outdoor seating available.

High-Quality Dining Experience - Edit
I've eaten here several times and always the food is delicious and I'm always satisfied. Last time around, among others, I tried the cheese wedges and seitan steak and if this wasn't a vegan restaurant, I would have wondered whether somebody in the kitchen may have slipped me real cheese and meat by accident. The taste was just incredible. I would recommend this establishment to anyone.

Better have a reservation - Edit
Many times tried to go there, no space. Finally I booked a table and event then I couldn't go there without a test. There was no information that the table was reserved inside. I would have booked it outside. I wanted only to seat outside, but there was no information that I need to tell that during booking. There will be more tries.

Best vegan cake in Berlin - Edit
While the food at Försters is amazing and should definitely be tried, their cake is what really blows my mind. I would recommend a specific flavour, but I don't think you can go wrong by trying any of their cakes. It's a bold claim, but I believe they've got the best cake in town!

Loved it - Edit
We came to Försters at around 9 pm without a reservation, they still had all options available. They have a variety of traditional German food and international dishes. Our server was incredibly friendly. We had the Schnitzel and Vegan Salmon Lasagna. While the Lasagna was really delicious, it was still a little cold on the inside. I didn’t mind it but maybe someone else would. Schnitzel was hot, so were the potatoes and sauce. Pricing is reasonable.

Wir waren im Försters und fanden das Essen sehr lecker. Leider waren die Positionen doch ziemlich überschaubar für den bezahlten Preis. Geschmacklich jedoch top.

Vegan traditional German food! - Edit
We loved this place so much the first time that we came back. Second visit was good but not as great. We still highly recommend Försters.
Read moreThe venue was clean and spacious. You get given a tiny German appetiser before the main meal too.
Visit 1: food was superb - the Deftige Pfifferlinge mit Serviettenknödel was incredible, as was the rührtofu dish of the week. The virgin piña colada also was great. Both servers were very friendly and spoke English well.
Visit 2: not enough staff so service was very slow. Same mains as before - nice! We didn't enjoy the brownie. We also tried 2 cakes from the counter which had good texture but the taste could be better.
Pros: Traditional German food made vegan - hard to find!, Delicious mains, Friendly staff
Cons: Service slow on 2nd visit , Desserts could be better

Amazing Schnitzel & salad (Döner not so amazing) - Edit
We have been here 3 times. Every time we had a great experience. Really nice Ambiente and delicious vegan food. We can really recommend the “Frühlingsbowl” and the “Wie “ner” Schnitzel. Also the cakes are super yummy (especially “Pfirsich Keese Kuchen”).
Read moreWe also recommend the the “Pfifferlinge with Serviettenknödel” (if available).
One thing the we really can’t recommend is the Döner. We were convinced by the waiter who said that he has never had a better vegan Döner anywhere else. But we definitely did.
Everything else is very good though. Toilets, beer, location, music. Defiantly a must once in this area.
Pros: Delicious vegan options , Great Ambiente , Nice people
Cons: Döner

Convince an omnivore - Edit
This is finally the venue made for people who are fed up with the obvious. Proof of the fact that you can veganize the most traditional dish that Germans love - from Christmas duck to Asparagus varieties, everthing comes vegan. The staff is more than friendly and helpful to provide information and an extra portion to try something new. Prices are completely decent. Absolutely recommendable.

Försters offers 'traditional German' dishes which I know from my grandmother's kitchen but haven't eaten for ages as they all contain meat. We had a Schnitzel and Königsberger Klopse and loved both! Also the vegan Käsekuchen was one of the best I have tried.

Very good food, friendly service - Edit
After going for a late dinner one day and trying entrees, we came back another day for late lunch and tried all the “snacks” (junk food tapas.) The menu is new as of this week (9 March 2020.) We weren’t too impressed with the fried cheese appetizer but the roulade and cordon bleu entrees were very good. Potato and veg sides with the entrees were equally well-executed. The Snickers torte and berry cheesecake were great. For the “snacks,” the schnitzel and currywurst were the standouts. We had a couple different servers and all were helpful and friendly.
