Many Vegan and GF options to choose - Edit
Overall wide variety of food options, I have tried most of the menu since they came to Front. Presentation is very good at this location. Great ambiance. Some improvements to service and music choice more tranquil and lower volume would be welcomed. Odd that it’s not more calming.

Cons: Can be pricey , Service is quite slow, Can be noisy and music has been awful some times.

Stylish and tasty - Edit
They don't need us recommending them - the place is fully packed at dinner time. Cool atmosphere, yet very inviting. We were two toddler and they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Food was delicious.

Great but expensive food - Edit
Have been here multiple times as well as to their other locations. The inside is built and decorated absolutely beautiful. I have always loved their menu and have tried things from burgers to bowls and none have disappointed. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of their recent price increases which I find absolutely unnecessary- they justify it by adding a side fries to some menu items but considering it's a $5 price increase, it's not justified imo. Plus I was fine without fries with my meal before.

Great place to take friends - Edit
It is close to the union station and my non-vegan friends loved it!
Read moreThe decoration & lighting was nice, the food filling and delicious. They were especially convinced by the tofu & tempeh creations (we had the bowls) and felt great and full of energy afterwards!
I had to go for the divine looking desserts. However, I chose exactly those that I didn't know from other places already and was a bit disappointed. Still good though!
Full 5 Stars recommendation to show vegan food to your friends, e.g. when traveling close to Union station
Pros: Beautiful place and atmosphere, Nice, helpful service, MANY options (all vegan), filling and delicious
Cons: Expensive, Long waiting time

Classy - Edit
This is the second Fresh restaurant my family have visited (the first being Eglinton) and this one seems to be very upmarket. The food was amazing once again, the only downside being the portion size of the tex-mex brunch menu option (which left my father resorting to stealing my fries!). The staff are great with customer service: right down to the arrival with water being provided straight away without asking, and the menu is excellent for gluten free choice. We ordered the beyond burger, the tex mex tortilla scramble, the bbq burger (which I chose due to the side of quinoa coated onion rings- which were epic!!) and the 9 layer burrito with side salad.

Upscale vibe and great menu - Edit
I had lunch at Fresh while waiting for my train out of Toronto, so I was dressed for travelling not for looking good and I felt a little inappropriately underdressed for this place. The decor feels very upscale. That being said, the food was all very good and I had a hard time narrowing down my choices.

Amazing Vegan Food - Edit
Great food, lots of selections. Make sure to make a reservation on a weekend night! When I was there the wait was about 30-40min on a Saturday night. But you can always sit at the bar. Cauliflower wings are to die for!

Poor service - Edit
The food lacked flavor although it was indeed fresh. My poor experience began as I walked in the door. The attendant told us there was no room, not even at the bar. We decided to order take-away. As we waited for the food two more people walk in and are promptly seated at the bar. The staff who gave us our take away order apologized they couldn’t give us a table and said we could have sat at the bar, I pointed to the person who told us there weren’t any seats at the bar -despite an empty bar with open seats - and she said they don’t take reservations for the bar. So who is right? Did the guy just not want to seat us? Were we discriminated against because we didn’t look trendy enough? Scroll through the pics, I posted a picture of a fairly empty bar.
Read moreThe food we ordered for take-away was nothing special and seemed overpriced. The cornbread is the smallest slices for $4, and super dry. Many other friendlier options in Toronto.
Cons: Squash tacos, Falafel tacos, Cornbread

Great food, high prices - Edit
I usually eat at Fresh at least once or twice a week, so by now I think I’ve had every option on its take-out menu. I can safely say that all of the food is delicious—some dishes are better than others, but overall all dishes are good. The menu also changes regularly enough that even a regular (like me) doesn’t get bored.
Read moreThat said, a few things are worth pointing out. I usually order take-out from Fresh since it is one of the only vegan restaurants in the downtown to be open late and on weekends. Ordering take-out from Fresh is much slower than from other restaurants; I usually have to wait about 40 min for my food to be ready. The prices are quite high considering the portion size. Most entrées are close to $20 (if you want the large size), but even then the portion is surprisingly small and I never feel full after a Fresh meal. I have notice that Fresh meals tend to lack protein (e.g. a salad advertised as a protein salad might only have a few chickpeas and chunks of tofu), so perhaps the lack of protein is why I don’t usually feel full.
That said, I still find Fresh to be very tasty and convenient (given its long hours) so I’ll continue to be a customer for the foreseeable future—though I really would appreciate the restaurant looking at its price-to-portion-size ratio.
Pros: Delicious vegan food, Lots of variety
Cons: High prices, Small portions

Amazing eatery - Edit
Great food, fab service, cute atmosphere. Takeout is also available! I love both sitting down for lunch and popping in for a takeaway cake & coffee. Be aware that they do serve dairy cheese as an extra add on.

Brilliant experience - Edit
This is the first vegan restaurant we have been to which has offered 100% of the menu items as vegan with the option of dairy as a side (ie cheese on the burger). It was so nice to have a full range of choices without restriction. We skipped the starter (although regretted it when the diners at the neighbouring table had the buffalo cauliflower which looked yum) and had the black bean burrito and the bbq burger. Both were really tasty and very generous portions. My husband had the sundae for desert which was absolutely delicious and I had the pecan pie, which was tasty but a little grainy. The restaurant itself was really nice and felt upscale. Lovely booths for larger parties. We thought the prices were really reasonable and would highly recommend.

Great vegan options near Union station/st. lawrence - Edit
Love the upscale vibe, and the spacious layout of this Fresh. Very distinct from other Fresh locations where you are literally shoulder to shoulder with people sometimes. Had the banquet burger and buffalo cauliflower here, both were delicious. Finished off with a slice of lemon cake which was decadent as well. If you are in the harbourfront/st.lawrence areas or the financial district, Fresh on Front is worth checking out.

Cons: A bit pricey.
