Tasty flavours

Lots of vegan options. My son had a mango cone and I shared a dark chocolate and mango pot with my daughter. Tasty little treat.

Gorgeous gelato

The chocolate sorbetto is divine. 🍫🍫🍫 The flavours are changed regularly and their website has a click and collect feature. Ingredients are clearly marked.

Pros: New flavours and familiar favourites, Tubs 🥳, Clear labelling

Cons: Best to takeaway as the place is small

The golden milk gelato 🥰

I dream about the golden milk - turmeric and almond milk gelato! The banana is also great! Friendly staff also - just make sure not to eat / get the wafer if you are vegan as contains dairy!

The best sorbetto in England

I always come here with my friends in summer.it is fantastically authentic. The menu is regularly updated as they use seasonal, local ingredients and there is a great selection of vegan sorbettos. This year they even introduced vegan geo-lollies! The atmosphere is amazing, but it can get quite busy due to its local popularity. They also craft dark chocolate Easter Eggs.

Sorbetti forvegans

Che bella gelateria!!
I am now a superfan of the place and visit it every week even though I do not live in Leicester. Absolutely top quality products with the freshest and smoothest and flavoursome sorbetti. There are usually at least 2 vegan options. You will not want to get back to regular shop-bought sorbets after tasting theirs. Italian recipes with an Italian feel . The conistas (staff behind counter) know their products really well and are really friendly, welcoming and patient .

Cons: The gelati are non vegan. the sorbetti are

Amazing treats!

I was really impressed to discover that these guys have vegan options, including chocolate sorbet which is so thick you'd think it's ice cream. They also make vegan pancakes, and have a range of other sorbets if you're not a chocaholic like me.

Pros: chocolate sorbet...

Cons: Some of the newer staff aren't quite as clued up o

Fruit sorbet good, chocolate one(s) awesome!

This is an edit of my previous review. I think there was originally some confusion with the staff over whether honey was vegan and the chocolate flavour used honey as the sweetener, but a steady stream of Leicester vegans made a difference and they changed the recipe! Now there always seems to be one vegan chocolate sorbetto, and sometimes chocolate orange or some other variant. At the moment they're also serving a coconut flavour which is very creamy and a good foil to the other, more intense flavours, but since the flavours change regularly I don't know how long that will stay a fixture in the cabinet.

Other than that, the fruit flavours are very good. I've tried strawberry, melon-blueberry, kibana (kiwi-banana), mixed red berry, fig, pineapple, blood-orange, tangerine, er... I forget the others!

The things that stopped me giving this place a 5-score were that it's not entirely vegetarian - I was told the glaze on one of the cakes is gelatine, so veggies beware. They have now started labelling the vegan options but the sorbets and ice-cream are next to each other so although each one has it's own scoop it might not be the best choice for those with a dairy allergy in terms of cross-contamination.

Pros: big range of flavours, friendly service, convenient location

Cons: Cakes/confectionery not always veg*n
