Of the three places I went to in Mexico City, I found Gold Taco to have the most "classic" Mexican taste. I ordered one quesadilla with huitlacoche and one quesadilla with pumpkin flowers. Both were simply amazing and pretty big, too! The market hall is a bit noisy and there are only bar stools to eat, so this is more a place for a casual meal.

Located inside the Mercado Roma in the hip Roma neighborhood is this gem of a taqueria. We ordered the special of 4 tacos with a drink. We tried the seitan pastor, chicharrones, suadero, carnitas soya and chorizo soya. We opted for 1 order with vegan cheese, and 1 without, if you like the ooey gooey cheesey taco, the cheese hits the spot, with out the cheese also hit the spot. The dessert was a sweet guava tamale, that was made to order, and was just sweet enough without being over powering.

Es vegetariano. Te cobran extra por hacer cualquier platillo vegano. Tiene poco sazón. Si preguntas cómo preparan algo para saber si es vegano, se molestan. Coven algunas carnes vegetales con mantequilla sin avisar. Te dicen que todos los pasteles son veganos, pero si preguntas, muchos tienen leche y huevo.
