Disappointing - Edit
I’m in the minority here, if seems.
Read moreThere are some positives. The location is cute and comfortable. BUT…
I had the pho, which I think is a reasonable yardstick for a Vietnamese restaurant. It was not pho at all. It was vegetable soup with rice noodles. None of the spices that should be in the broth. None of the basil and mint and other greens that are always served with pho.
On top of this, they will only take cash, if you spend over 15€(this is not advertised anywhere) so I had to order another item I didn’t actually want.
As of this moment I have been waiting for 15 minutes for my check since the table was cleared. My server seems to have disappeared.
It’s fine if you aren’t familiar with Vietnamese food, but I wouldn’t bring a Vietnamese friend here, and I likely won’t return.
Pros: Nice patio to enjoy the fresh air. , All vegan.
Cons: Quite pricy in relation to portion size, Pho lacks flavor. , I had to hunt someone down to pay them

busy but good Vietnamese selection - Edit
Very busy spot within the heart of Berlin Kreuzberg.
Read moreExtensive menu with many nice vegan Vietnamese dishes.
We had duck covered in sesame seeds with tamarind / curry sauce and a few starters - champignons salad, seaweed cabbage rolls, chicken sticks with peanut sauce.
Everything was yummy, not outstanding in my opinion.
The restaurant is also very busy and service was alright, but stressed.
Would eventually come again.

Decent veg Vietnamese - Edit
The decor and ambience is very nice. The food presentation is also nice.
Read moreThe food was good but not as amazing as the reviews say. I was expecting more flavor and spice - for amazing bold vegan Vietnamese I haven’t found a restaurant that tops Kim999. It was good but not my favorite Vietnamese in Berlin.

Nice Vietnamese food - Edit
The menu is authentic and the food tasty. The outside seating in a relaxing backyard makes this a really nice dinner spot, away from the bustle of the main street.

Great food; work on logistics - Edit
I cannot complain about my meal here. It was affordable, delicious, and an excellent portion size. The restaurant is also very lovely. I sat outside on a beautiful summer day, and the breeze was so refreshing. The only reason I didn’t give five stars was just small little logistical things. For instance, they don’t sell bottled water (I love a fizzy water with dinner). You can get tap water, but if you do, it will come out in a tiny juice glass, which means if you want to have an adequate amount of water to drink, you have to keep bugging them for more. Oh, and you get charged 0.50€ for that tiny glass of water. You can also only pay by cash, which is my preference, but when I wanted to get change for a €5 note, they couldn’t give it to me, so I couldn’t leave much of a tip as I’m not going to leave more money because you don’t have change. If you’re working only in cash, you need to have adequate change. But these are just two minor gripes. Otherwise, I was very pleased with my meal here.

More Delicious Vietnamese - Edit
Arrived and took a seat outside. For this trip I’ve been asking what the waiter recommends. He recommended the Bun Bo noodle soup and dumplings. Dumplings were good. Then came the noodle soup and it was perfect! Excellent flavor and plenty of “meats” and veggies. Definitely a nice place to dine if in the area.

A stand out Vietnamese restaurant - Edit
There's no shortage of Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin, however this one is a stand out as it is entirely vegan. You will be spoilt for choice here! We had summer rolls and satay skewers to start and two coconut based curries - the vang and the kiem chay, both delicious and packed with veg but if I was to go again, I'd get a different type of curry as they both tasted very similar and my husband and I like to mix and match - not the fault of the place itself though! We also didn't fancy dessert as the curries themselves were very sweet so cannot comment on those. My favourite thing about the restaurant is it's laid-back vibes; it is set back from the main street with floor to ceiling windows and is super cosy. I'd definitely visit again and make it my mission to work through the menu 😋

Incredible food, wonderful experience 🤩 - Edit
This might be my favourite restaurant overall that we went to in Berlin. To start we had the Nem Ron (filled crispy rice paper rolls) and Banh Goi (crispy dumplings). The crispy rolls were just superb, I don't think it's possible to describe how delicious they were! The dumplings were incredible too.
Read moreWe then had the Vit Chay – Sot Lac (vegan duck in coconut peanut sauce) and Banh Canh Hap (udon with seitan, tofu and vegetables). Both were absolutely delicious, my favourite would probably have to be the Banh Canh Hap, but it's a close one!
Everything we ate was stunning, I would put this at the top of your list when visiting Berlin.

Amazing! - Edit
This restaurant has a really nice chilled vibe, with wall to ceiling windows giving it an open feel. The menu is in both German and English. For starters we went for Nem Ron (filled crispy rice paper rolls) and Banh Goi (crispy dumplings). The dumplings were really delicious but the crispy rolls were just insane! They were incredible – lovely crispy coating with a delicious blend of flavours.
Read moreFor our mains we got Vit Chay – Sot Lac (vegan duck in coconut peanut sauce) and Banh Canh Hap (udon with seitan, tofu and vegetables). The udon dish was really tasty and vegetables were really fresh but the vegan duck dish was the stand out for me. This place is well worth a visit, the food is amazing!

Really tasty vegan duck - Edit
Ate lunch here and it was really good.
Read moreThe place is 100 % vegan which I really love and they have different kinds of dishes such as rice and noodles. I had the “Vit Chay-Sot Lac” which had a vegan duck with fried vegetables, peanut sauce and rice. The dish was very tasty and especially the fake duck. I am normally a bit picky when it comes to vegan meat substitutes but this one was really good, the sesame on top also made it crispy which I liked.
I liked the place but what brings it down for me was the service. I felt like the staff was rushed and not very friendly and I therefore didn’t have the very best experience. The prices are also a bit above Berlin average. If you’re in the area I would still recommend it as the food is really really good.

Many options, tasty dishes - Edit
With two friends we ordered 3 starters and 2 mains and that was a good amount of food. We found everything to be quite flavorful, especially the peanut sauce that came on the skewers. The vegan duck dish was interesting but could have used some more veggies. Prices a little higher than berlin average but there are weekly/daily deals on different dishes.

Food to die for - Edit
What an amazing place this is. The food is soo good and tasteful. As a starter me and my gf shared a sate and Vietnamese pancake, both really delicious and great to share and start with. As main I had the peking duck, which was quite big, lots of actual "peking duck" in comparison to the other ingredients so thats always good. The noodles where also really tasty.
Read moreSuper busy tho, had to wait for 10 minutes on a Monday evening, so would advice to make a reservation. Also the food came a bit to fast, we weren't full done yet with our starters and the main already arrived..
