A previous review mentioned they were too sweet. I thought they were perfect (not too sweet) and tasty! We had the red bean and peanut butter and both were good.
I guess their friends gave this a thumbs up. I don't see why.i asked for a not sweet pancake. They gave me a very sweet peanut pancake, and the peanut crumbled out of the tasteless pancake. My partner took the bean curd.cloyingly sweet.
My first time having Chinese pancakes so I might not be a great judge, but they tasted great to me. I had two, was filling enough for a breakfast - though a third one would have been ok.
I have tried several different outlets of granny’s pancake and they all are great. We love the peanut peanut butter. I also really enjoy the coconut. Be prepared to wait for the yumminess and make sure to get at least two.
It is cheap, delicious and completely vegan. Flavours are red beans, coconut, peanut and peanut with peanut butter. It is on the second floor of the food court. The queue can get quite long in peak hours.
Two peanut butter pancakes are enough for breakfast.
It's hidden on the second floor amongst a complex of cheap food vendors but it's worth looking for. Just four flavours and at $1 each I tried all of them. Nothing fancy but they're open early if you want something other then noodles for breakfast around China town. If you go super early you will have to walk past meat being hacked up so maybe wait an hour if you're squeamish.
