Delicious Chinese Cuisine - Edit
Popular allium-free Chinese vegetarian eatery at The Rail Mall, now with an outlet in Tampines~ Mostly vegan as they're eggless and only several items contain dairy. The menu isn't labelled but the staff members are happy to advise. Ordered some a la carte dishes and was blown away by how delicious they were even though I'm not usually a huge fan of Chinese food. The Mouth Watering Chili Oil Chick'n (Sichuan-style 口水鸡) cold appetiser was a unique item and easily one of the best dishes I've had in recent months, featuring steamed 'chicken' drenched in fragrant spicy chilli oil and chopped roasted peanuts. Surprisingly the 'chicken' wasn't the soft gluten kind of mock meat, and instead had an impressively firm meaty bite. The Hakka-style Braised Bamboo With Beancurd Sticks (in lieu of pork belly) was also savoury and protein-rich. My companion enjoyed the Three Treasures Spinach as well. Not the most conveniently located, but a good family-friendly restaurant I would recommend. From Tampines MRT Station / Bus Interchange, take bus 72 for 7 stops to Aft Tampines Ind Ave 2.
