A must visit kind of place

I loved this place. We discovered it by accident but the food was some of the best I’ve had in ages. Imagine punk does vegan and that’s the kind of place this is. If you are in the area go and see for yourself

Pros: The food was delicious , Vegan fast food, Big portions

A hidden gem, well worth a trip.

I got a take away for my train journey after a busy weekend in Liverpool. It was about 10 mins walk, at the back of Lime street station, well worth the walk and close to Abakhans, also well worth a visit. The restaurant is spacious inside and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The surrounding streets were a bit deserted, but it could have just been that time (5pm) on a Sunday evening. I had the corn tacos, £6 for 2. There was a good choice of other options, so it was hard to choose. Great compostable container to take away food in. I also had a take away tea and spotted a biscoff cheesecake, which I just had to have and was glad it I did, amazing. All the food was delicious and filled me up on the journey.

Pros: Tacos, Biscoff cheese cake, Take away tea.

Cool vibes!

It seems that the business has recently been operating as a pop up and currently crowd funding to help with securing a permanent location. However they are operating out of the listed venue and have their soft launch menu, which contains mostly mock meat dishes. The vibe of the place is awesome and I love the style. Staff/owners are lovely. I'm personally not a fake meat fan so found the menu limiting in choice. I chose the Banh Mi and it was very good. Filling and flavourful, it's got a nice kick to it.

Cool place

First of all, the location of Guac n roll isn't the best. It was so quiet, other businesses are in that location and all of them were empty too so I felt very watched lol.
They have such a wide range of options on the menu, so many different things to choose from.
I picked the salt n pepper chicken and chips which was super tasty but very salty (duh) The chips were super crispy but soft on the inside but the chicken wasn't the best vegan chicken I've had.
The portion size was too big for just one so I'd definitely eat there with another person if you're going!

Awesome vegan junk food

I swithered over whether to give four or five stars because out of the four vegan restaurants I went to in Liverpool, this would be my least favourite. However, it was a high standard of other local vegan places to be up against, and I did love the menu. The staff member was friendly, and we were only disadvantaged by a lack of desserts because they had an event on that night.

They share a space with a bar, and that is a separate business and were advertising their drinks on a menu on the table - I got excited to see ice cream cocktails then realised they weren't vegan.

If you love vegan junk food I would definitely recommend it.

New Review of New Venue

This was my first visit to the new premises and I wasn't disappointed. Was lovely to see the same friendly faces behind the counter in gorgeous, airy, spacious surroundings. Plenty of tables, plus comfy chairs and sofas, books and board games, and really interesting décor. The food was, as always, absolutely excellent - I opted for the Donburi and it's a sheer delight, the sticky 'pork' is heavenly. The menu has snacks, light bites and full meals, the variety is excellent and all prepared and cooked to an extremely high standard. They don't sell alcohol but there's a bar in the same space if you like a beer etc with your meal. The building itself is a bit out of the way, but really easy to find - it's about 5 minutes' walk from the Royal Hospital and London Road/Lime St Station, or just around the corner from Abakhan's and the other fabric shops if you're coming from that direction. It's a much nicer, more relaxed space than the city centre and definitely worth making the effort to find. Open Thurs-Sun, roughly 1-8pm. Takeout also available.

Amazing food

The food here is all imaginative and delicious and we can’t wait to return. So much choice on the menu and very generous portions! We had the po boy sandwich, kapsalon fries, onion rings and Mac and cheese! All fantastic.

Can’t wait to go back. Well worth the short journey from the centre to visit. Lots of parking available but we just walked the 20 minutes there and back from where we parked in town. That way you can have cake too!

I go to a lot a vegan places, honestly this is the best one I have been to, I’ve been vegan since 2017. The chips are better than 5 guys. The Vegan roll is better than Greggs that is a big statement. Really chilled out vibe too would highly recommend 😀 Vanilla slices out of this world 🌎 #Veganuary

New owners, great food

Update 2021: closed. The pub now sells meat and vegan pies.

Update August 2019: now called Guac n Roll vegan kitchen. New menu and prices. Really high standard of food. Had vegan sticky pork ribs special which was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended.
———————

Tasty homemade seitan burgers and chips served in plastic basket. Cheap n cheerful pub grub. Had a special deal where you get burger and chips and a pint for £10. Even my meat-loving friend was impressed with the seitan. The pub itself is hipster- scruffy and sells craft beers - moderately expensive. Some bottled beers labelled as vegan and staff could advise about others. Vegan cupcakes on sale. Enjoyed the quiz night that started as we were there.

I’ve eaten here 4 times so far & it’s been the most delicious food every time! Each time I want the same as last time because I loved it but I always try something new & I’m never disappointed!
This is not like a big chain restaurant, you can tell this is food made by someone with a passion for tasty vegan treats😄

Amazing food, noone quite does it like Kallie. My partner doesn't really like fake 'meats' but she has finally found stuff she actually like thanks to GNRK. Had a meat eater with us and he couldn't get enough.

Decent vegan junk food

I've had the roast and the fish & chips that were both absolutely stunning, and highly recommend.

Not as keen on the burgers, they seem to be overloaded to the point they're not really a burger but a tower of food, but I'm sure lots of people love that!
