Serves meat, vegan options available. Small gyoza and ramen shop. Has vegan appetizers, but the owner (although he doesn't speak English) will work with you to cook vegan dishes such as hot tofu Kyoto style and ochazuke with rice. Occasionally will have vegan gyoza. Last orders 30 minutes before closing. Non smoking. Open Tue-Sun 12:00pm-2:00pm.

Great ramen and extremely accommodating staff - Edit
They had an assortment of options which was extremely rare in Nikko. Although the owners didn’t speak perfect English they clearly marked vegan options and were extremely accommodating towards vegans and vegetarians. Their food was also great and didn’t feel like an afterthought which is always appreciated. We had the spicy miso ramen and the soy sauce ramen and gyoza, all of which were amazing.

Delicious and clearly labeled vegan gyoza and ramen - Edit
I’m not sure if the menu has changed recently, but they now have a vegetarian section on their English menu that has gyoza (vegan) and soy sauce or spicy miso ramen (can be made vegan by subbing the vegan noodles). The vegan noodles are also gluten free but you cannot tell at all! They are delicious. There is a vegan person currently working there who speaks fluent English and Japanese who I think is helping them with the vegan options.

Great gyoza - Edit
I was worried when I didn’t see a clear vegan option on the menu. However, luckily “vegan” is the same in Japanese. The wait staff and chef are friendly. If you are only getting only gyoza, I would recommend getting two orders. The fried gyoza is yummy!

Super leckere Ramen! - Edit
Sehr leckere Ramen. Die Besitzer haben ein Schild mit dem Sie fragen ob man vegetarisch ist. Unbedingt drauf achten zu sagen dass die Nudeln ohne Ei seien sollen, denn Sie haben Nudeln mit und ohne Ei.

Delicious gyoza & ramen! - Edit
I enjoyed eating ramen for the first time in Japan. I lived in Japan for 10 years but was never able to eat ramen in a restaurant! My non-vegetarian Japanese husband also enjoyed the ramen broth and vege gyoza. The owner is friendly and his smallish shop has a pleasant atmosphere.

Good service - Edit
There're some dishes for vegetarians. Such as Ramen , tofu , salad, Japanese dumplings , Yuba sashimi . The chef shows us how to taste piping hot tofu and blends sauce for Japanese dumplings. The soup of miso Ramen is very rich but not too salty. It's good for health.

So friendly and helpful! - Edit
The staff at the restaurant were so friendly. Although he didn’t speak perfect English the chef came and check with us what was okay. He asked about dashi in the sauce and if we just wanted soy sauce. He also asked about eggs. They even gave us an extra dumpling so that we had an even number to share. I would definitely go back and support them!

Friendly and delicious - Edit
The chef was so kind and welcoming. I showed him my vegan card and he immediately pointed out what I could eat (there was a whole vegetarian menu) I had gyoza and miso ramen! He cooked it all from what looked like scratch. It was the cheapest ramen but rich in taste! Highly recommend! I do warn there was a mixup on how much food I ordered and some how ended up with three orders of gyoza. So if you are with multiple people, individually order!

What a wonderful experience! Helpful chef too! - Edit
After traveling from small towns in Japan where vegan options didn't exist and 7/11 snacks were our only friends .... coming here where the chef brought out ingredients to make sure the pho he was going to make was okay and also made vegan gyoza- WOW.

Great little place for gyoza and ramen! - Edit
We ate here twice while in Nikko. The owner's English was pretty good. Normally their gyoza comes with five pieces, but he gave us six because we were a group of three. The gyoza was very good, and the ramen was excellent! If we come back to Nikko, this place will be on our list of favorite restaurants in Nikko.

Helpful Chef - Edit
Came here after finding this place on HappyCow and that the staff would accommodate. The waitress knew what vegetarian/vegan was and so did the chef. He made us a plate of tofu, vegetable gyoza and plain rice. The place is very busy. It’s also easier if you know how to speak Japanese.
