It was at first not so easy to find it in the market hall, but it's definitely worth to search it (it's right on the corner next to the big sign and cafe "COFFEE")

Oh my GAWD!! We are so happy to have stumbled upon this gem in Chiang Mai! We came here every day because the food is really that good. What’s even better is you know you’re supporting a business that actually cares about people and the world.
Read moreYupin is a special lady and she makes people feel seen and heard. When we ate there, she would customize our orders because we liked our dishes less spicy with more herbs. Yupin remembered that I liked spicy while my partner didn’t so without asking, she would have a small plate of chilis for me on the side. This is just one example of many which makes eating here such a treat.
We highly recommend everything here but our favourites were the papaya salad and the dark noodle soup (change the noodles to the pad-thai styled rice noodles!) Just show her the photo attached😄

Friendly owner and tasty food! - Edit
I love this place, because it very cheap and so delicious! All food that we tried was amazing: vegan green curry, vegan salted fish, fried rice, som tam with crispy mushrooms. This stall also sell items for takeaway: crispy mushrooms, nori chips.

I loved this place so much! Such an authentic Thai vegan place. A lot of the vegan places in Chiang Mai are great but I havnt come across any local vegan Thai places. Here the good is made fresh

We had a lovely lunch here. It’s a small market stall with a very friendly owner who will accommodate your needs. It’s a bit tricky to find, but just look for the fruit/veggie market and you’ll find the yellow flags hanging.

I was a student at the TMC School across the street this past February. We learned how to safely cross the street without dying!! But for the first week we went to the food court in the mall to eat our lunch. A few students mentioned there was a Veg place..but they were not Vegans so I didn't pay much attention. Then I found Happy Mushroom!!! Nothing is sweeter for a Vegan to find a Vegan place!! Food was fresh and delish!! This place is smack in the midst of a farmers market...love it!! All the fresh veg and fruit around...lots of variety...just need to not smell things close to the meat and fish areas!! I wanted to re-thank them for their efforts to be Vegan in a non vegan country!! Although its easy to eat vegan in Thailand...one still has to be careful! Thank you thank you!!

Had the pleasure to dine at this small but delicious market food stall. Worth looking for!! Upin and Craig were fabulous, fast and know their stuff! Although I am not a vegetarian or vegan... this was my favorite place to eat every time we were in the neighbourhood...7 times!!!

This little gem is located in the market, it’s a little tricky to find, but it’s towards the Main Street with yellow (gin jay) flags hanging. The owner is so kind and speaks a bit of English. I’ve tried both the Thai and Plara papaya salads, both were delicious the latter was super stinky though as it’s made with fermented soy (the traditional way is prepared with fermented fish 🤢). Almost all of her dishes have some kind of mushroom/s in it and if you ask for spicy she’ll sure as hell make spicy! As per our conversation yesterday she’s going to allow call/text orders in the near future!

Delicious vegan Thai dishes - Edit
I have tried the green curry, it's delicious and so flavorful, the cucumber salad is also my favorite, her seasoning is perfect, she cooks/makes it when you order, she also has some precooked dishes it is so inexpensive, I'm so happy to have found happy mushroom, the owner is so friendly and accommodating.

This modest little food stall actually has a great range of dishes and they are all 100% vegan and taste fantastic! She makes the meals very quickly and they are so cheap and you can either take away or she has a small place to sit and eat there.

Yupin the owner of Happy Mushroom (SO MANY TYPES OF MUSHROOMS) is a hard working single mom who wakes up every morning at 5am to get the freshest ingredients for her stall. She speaks English well and if she doesn't know how to say something she will use Google translate! She serves amazing food. The Som Tom and cucumber salad is my favorite!
