My Heart is in Havana - Edit
If you’re looking for a vibrant, vegan-friendly spot with a welcoming vibe, Havana on Commercial Drive is a must-visit! Nestled on the quieter end of the Drive, Havana offers an eclectic mix of Cuban and Latin cuisine, creatively tailored to cater to vegetarians and vegans. The atmosphere is lively yet laid-back, with the cool charm of the Drive, making everyone feel right at home.
Read moreTheir patio is a gem – perfect for soaking in some sunshine while grooving to classic 90s hip-hop. My girlfriend and I had a delightful lunch there, starting with the Little Havana Lunch Bowl, which was a colorful medley of fresh, flavorful ingredients. We are big eaters and couldn’t resist adding extra smashed plantain tostones.
The Naturally Gluten-free Veggie Burger was another highlight. Served with crispy Mariquitas and a delectable Whipped Avocado Sauce on the side, every bite was a burst of flavor. Havana truly stands out for its creative use of ingredients like plantain, mango salsa, and avocado chimichurri, making it a paradise for vegan food enthusiasts.
Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Havana’s inclusive atmosphere and mouthwatering vegan options make it a standout spot on Commercial Drive. Don’t miss out on this culinary gem!
Pros: Lots of variety, Bursting flavours , Creative and bright dishes

Good burger - Edit
Lively, large restaurant on Commercial Drive serving meals and drinks til late. I ordered the Veggie Burger (black beans, sunflower seeds and rice), which comes with a side of fries and smoked tomato aioli. Note: gluten free bun comes standard. Burger was really tasty and a refreshing change from standard vegan meat burgers.

Cons: Only one vegan 🥑 brunch option, No alternative to GF bun for burger
