Amazing Keralan Indian Food - Edit
Fantastic range of vegan dishes. We asked the staff to recommend dishes and had 3 delicious starters and curries. Could not have been more satisfied with the food or the service! If you are in Leicester this is a must go to place to eat.

We had the Business Lunch which was a dosa (huge!), rice and several curries. We also had the Trivani - a drink made from 3 fresh fruit juices layered in a tall glass - kiwi, mango and strawberry. Great value and really tasty food.

Truly excellent. Loads of vegan options that were very tough to choose between, food was delicious, staff were great including some free nibbles the chef bought round and the total bill for my wife and I was under £30. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I was visiting Leicester for the day and had found this place in advance, and took my non-vegan Dad. There are so many great sounding options on the menu it was hard to choose what to have, but went for the banana as a starter - I was expecting it to be more like plantain crisps from the menu description but it was larger pieces of plantain-like banana which comes with three sauces to dip in. Texture of the banana was great and sauces were delicious. I then had Vada Sambar which was something I hadn't seen before, a lentil/rice 'doughnut' (in a doughnut shape but denser and softer) covered in a great sauce. It could easily have been a grainy texture but it wasn't, and took on the flavour of the sauce really well.

Great place serving all the South Indian classics. I had a good Bhel Poori (crunchy puffed rice in a tamarind sauce) and then a Paper Dosa (huge crispy pancake with potato curry, coconut chutney and sambal sauce). Lively decor, strangely including a motorbike! Lovely staff. Delighted to find it in the middle of the city.

So excited to try here after rave reviews by literally everyone it seemed. The staff weren’t the most attentive. The curries were cold and breads quite greasy. I just think there are better curry houses in leicester with better flavours. Personally I wouldn’t rush back ☹️

“Kerala at it’s best” - Edit
You can’t pigeonhole this as a typical Indian restaurant because the menu is not typical. The restaurant is lovely, warm and appropriate to reflect a Kerala feel, including the motorbike which Southern India is famous for. What sets this place apart from others is the menu. It’s got an amazing selection which captures the very essence of Kerala and southern in Indianian cuisine.
Read moreIf you’re not used to this unique food, don’t just read the description, speak to the staff - they will define exactly what you’re getting. TOP TIP: If you prefer your food spicy, just ask and they will add heat in a way which doesn’t just induce heat (powder) but by using fresh chillis.
I would recommend ‘Herb’ to anyone and will be going back again to experience more until I’ve exhausted all vegan options. #Veganuary
