Unhygienic food - Edit
Apologies, but I saw flies all over the food. Food was overly spicy and unhygienic.

Hesan - Edit
I ordered non spicy dish and everything except the rice and pumpkin was spicy. Soup was great.

Well the Thai idea of spicy and non-Thai can be different... They cook the dishes to the Thai taste as practically all of the customers are Thai. If you truly want not spicy food you can order your dishes cooked fresh. You will receive one dish but a larger quantity if ordered :)

Great place - Edit
Similar but different to all the other vegan/jain food available on that street. Lots of mock meats, she will tell you which ones are spicy (if you don’t line spice DO NOT have these) delicious

Pros: Price, Portion , Taste

Jain food is Indian food which although similar in being vegetarian without garlic and onion Thai vegan food is Jae "J". Its quite easy to get it confused as they do sound similar.

Incredible taste of Thailand - Edit
Wonderful food, a lot to choose from. We have visited twice. Tried different things, basically always extremely delicious. The earlier you come the more choice you have. Available to take as 'To Go'. And it's also very cheap!!

Disappointing - Edit
After having been to the same jay buffet all my holiday here, on the last day, I decided to try something new. Prices are twice as high as at Jiya Chai, although still technically inexpensive. Also I likely just made a bad choice. They have a lot of meat and fish substitutes, and what I believed something like seitan tasted like algue/fish. At the other restaurant tho, I practically couldn't miss, everything always was super tasty.... no matter what I took.
Read moreIdk. Wouldn't come here again, but it's likely up to preference.

Vegan, not vegetarian - Edit
The buffet offers a wide range of vegan food, also a lot of mock meat. Everything is vegan, the staff speaks english and told us everything is without egg, milk or meat. In addition to that it‘s pretty cheap, really clean and super delicious! Would definitely recommend it!!😄

My daily place so its gotta be great :) - Edit
I eat here every day. Actually take away with my own container. Get there early before 1pm if you want fresh dishes. Earlier the better. Have brown/red rice too. They can speak a bit of English. For me the best in Phuket... My favs are the peow wan (sweet sour), phatang (pumpkin), pak kin (ginger tofu). Prices - 3 toppings with rice 40 baht. Fake meat dishes are extra. Oh and they normally have red rice and sometimes the lovely burberry. Update. Prices have gone up to 50 baht for 3 toppings on rice. Fake meat is extra as always. Still consistently great quality

Very nice food - Edit
Cheap (40 bat for one dish of your choice), flavorful and many different options in the buffet. Including quite a big selection of fake meats!

Great spicy thai-chinese vegan restaurant - Edit
To much too choose from the buffet, everything is vegan, colourful and spicy. Love the brown rice and the TVP 🌶 sauce dishes. A plate cost you between 50 - 75 Bath. Drinking water for free and a small shelve to buy vegan products to take home.

Tasty, spicy and cheap! - Edit
Huge range of vegan jay foods, it is so hard to choose! There isn’t any English labelling but they speak some English so can tell you what things are. I had various mock meats and a spicy curry, all delicious! A plate with rice and 3 toppings was 65 baht so great value. The mock meat was so yummy and convincing - especially the fish!

Great selection Jay - Edit
Some really good dishes most with a lot of spice. Had soy meat dish, taste and texture exactly like chicken (if this wasn't Jay would be worried).

Many options, nothing was labeled, not much English. 100% Jay food was excellent. We went with 5 people including some meat eaters who liked it.

Ok. - Edit
A buffet with choice but some of the items were tasting old... Plus charged a lot more compared to other similar places. Still relatively cheap though. But not my best one at all.

Hesan Vegetarian - Edit
We love this place. One of the biggest jay buffets we have visited and it is always really busy as close to a temple. Pretty sure the name is 'Hesan' and i've just uploaded a picture of the sign outside. This whole area comes alive during the annual veg fest and this restaurant must serve hundreds if not thousands of customers each day...
Read moredcchris
Yes its jammed during the festival and I'd say from years of experience living in the area that its the one place where the quality of the food is consistently great even during the festival although prices do go up. I recommend go there during the festival more than the pop up shops on the street if you want quality.

Nice vegan buffet - Edit
Nice, clean vegan buffet. For those that know what vegan buffet looks like, this one is definitely cleaner and nicer. Dishes taste good, but cold if you come at the wrong time, which is normal in Thailand... Overall really good buffet and they understand some English.

Cheap vegan food! - Edit
Really cheap cluster of vegan restaurants. Once we discovered it we ate there until the end of our stay. No cover over food - flies were landing on it, and my shawl went in one of the dishes when I was pointing at one at one point! Can't be beaten for value for money though. Probably not any worse than most cheap Thai street food/restaurants on food hygiene. Great to see not one but around five 100% vegan restaurants in a row!
Read moreWe had rice and two or three sauce/tofu/vegetable/faux meat toppings. One of the restaurants also had a small shop area and some lovely coffee flavoured (soy?)milk drinks in their fridge for only 10 baht each! Also bought a powdered soy milk mushroom drink to bring back from our holidays.
Some of the dishes were very spicy but they pre-empted our poor choices by warning us of spicy ones.
Pros: Cheap!, Large selection - lots of options, 100% vegan
Cons: Flies crawling over food, Some very spicy dishes (need to ask)

delicious - but a little spicy - Edit
They have a variety of foods to choose from, including curry and some fake meats. Price starts at 30b, but can increase a bit depending on what you get (I paid 50b). A good tip that I read below (too late), is check which dishes are spicy. Their spicy is /really/ spicy.

Buddhist temple cuisine - Edit
Her San is part of a cluster of veg buffet places near the Thai and Chinese Buddhist temples in downtown Phuket. The selection here offers a little more variety than average, so there should be something for everyone. Language is not a barrier, as one can simply point at the dishes you would like.

Many choices of food - Edit
Restaurant with buffet and big choice of vegan food. This is Jey-restaurant, it means no animal product, onion and garlic. Food is good, ask about non-spice dishes. No air-con, free water.
