Went there for my birthday with my family. Great table and ambiance. Food was delicious, tasty and well balanced. Had the thali with naan, always a good choice.

Je fréquente régulièrement Hindusthali depuis l'ouverture en été 2017. J'ai dû y aller des dizaines de fois et je n'ai jamais été déçu! C'est même tout le contraire: au fil du temps, le propriétaire et chef, Hakim, a continuellement peaufiné les recettes existantes et en a créé de nouvelles (comme le korma à la crème d'amande ou la crème glacée à la pistache). Je suis toujours agréablement surpris par son savoir et son réel amour de la cuisine, des aliments et de leurs bienfaits.

We had a wonderful dinner - we loved the food, the ambience and the service. It was a very warm and welcoming place. Limited menu, and each person is required to order a thali dish, which offer variety to share. The food is made fresh and not spicy (for people with low tolerance to heat!) The naan is fresh, fluffy and such a treat as a vegan to have it buttered! Order extra!

Simple menu that makes it easier to choose.My favorite dishes in the thali were the one with an almond sauce (don't remember the name :P) and the eggplant caviar. First time that I've experienced the vegan naan and I got to say, it's a success (same texture😄). The owners (Hakim and his wife) are welcoming and very kind. I will go back very soon.

Bonus: they have vegan naan bread which most places in Mtl don't have. I usually have to get the chapati or the roti but here it's the classic naan which is awesome.

Tips: Make a reservation, they are popular! Bring a tupperware to bring home any extra food (generous portions).

Read moreEach plate is composed of different bowls, and each of them tastes amazing. This was the first time I've ever had a raw vegetable salad that tasted so good at a restaurant, which was such a nice surprise. But everything is just so full of flavours to discover.
And can I just say: VEGAN NAAN BREAD.
I also got the Kheer dessert even though I was full, and I definitely don't regret it. Delicious.
Thank you for a great meal, and I will definitely come back soon.

My partner and I ate here about one week ago an found the food so delicious, the seasoning so well balance and the meal very affordable. At 5:00, the place wasn't very busy, so the owner made time to talk to us about his menu and inquire more than once how we liked the food. We ordered a thali, which had a variety of items, each very distinct in its flavors and overall very filling. We will definitely return!

Only two items in the menu are vegetarian rather than vegan. The owner was quick to point those out to me, and told me that by Summer 2019 the whole menu would be vegan! The thalis are delicious and filling, especially the green peas and potatoes which are to die for.

Owner was so accommodating, he gave us 2 dishes that weren’t on the menu, created an almond milk based chai for us and let us sample some of his creations he was working on. Incredible place! They even make their own vegan naan. Now that, is epic.

The most attentive service! 5 stars! - Edit
This restaurant was our first stop when we arrived to Montreal for holidays. The owner who also served food (love it, very European concept) was extremely professional and privided exceptional service. He walked us through the menu, advised on daily specials and appetizers, made notes about our food restrictions and allergies. The food was delicious and so flavorful! I used to work in a boutique hotel as a manager and that night we received 5-star service.
