Good vibe, expensive - Edit
The piano bar downstairs is nice if you can get a reservation, it definitely fills up. I’ve been back four times to the Hobgoblin. The Pad Thai with Tofu was overcooked, I haven’t gotten that again. But the Tofu Makaam has this addictive tamarind sauce, and the chive dumplings were so chewy and moist with the dipping sauce. Next up to order is the vegan version of the Thai fried rice. Vegan options clearly labeled on the menu, if possible, with just a VT for vegetarian. Your tab will be $75 a person easy, splitting an app or two with one or two drinks.

Yes for ambiance and drinks, no for vegan food - Edit
Checked out the hobgoblin and was pretty disappointed. The space is great, the staff is wonderful, and the drinks are strong! I so badly wanted to be able to give this place a higher rating but the food just wasn’t it. I got the Tofu Makaam, the only naturally vegan entrée and for $19 I expected more than three pieces of tofu. Had to pay $3 extra for a side of rice with it. Have not tried the other vegan options but pretty disappointed!
