Serves meat, vegan options available. Small, nondescript restaurant with several vegan dishes (without egg or oyster sauce) on the menu with tofu and also with mock duck from in-house-made seitan. Medium to big portions with as much rice as you wish. Take-out only after 9pm. Open Mon-Sat 11:30-22:00, Sun 18:00-22:00.

Their Seitan duck is incredible - Edit
The Seitan duck (go for "Su-Ya") is super tasty. Also the place is very inexpensive, so great value. Definitely a hidden gem, although the location is good.

I´ve eaten out at Hongkong Imbiss five times and always really liked my food. There are numerous vegan options to choose from and the staff are friendly. As you would expect in a fast food restaurant, you are served your food very fast, even with a group. The prices are low, starting from €8.50 for a satiating main dish. Ignore the charm-lacking interior design and enjoy your amazing food!

I was there twice last week during my holidays in Saarbrücken. A lot of vegan options ... with Su-Ya (fake duck) and tofu. Felt in love with the Su-Ya-Dishes. Soo yummy.

Good fake Duck - Edit
The Hongkong Imbiss is a small fast food Restaurant in the City. The interior is not very nice, but the service is good. I had the Su-Ya (fake Duck) Kanton, witch was very tasty. The price was quite cheap.

Absoluter Geheimtipp in SB: ein kleines aber doch sehr familiäres und freundliches asiatisches Restaurant in der Innenstadt mit tollem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, was ausschließlich mit frischen Zutaten arbeitet (z.B. wird die Gemüsebrühe selbst hergestellt).
Read moreBesonders die veganen Suya-Gerichte (mein persönlicher Favorit: Suya Szechuan) sowie die vegane Frühlingsrolle sind ein Hit! Viele der Gerichte auf der Karte können auf Anfrage von den netten Inhabern gerne veganisiert werden.
Kleiner Tipp: neben der Standardkarte gibt es noch eine bebilderte Zusatzkarte mit weiteren tollen veganen Speisen, z.B.
- grüner Spargel mit Tofu, Suya, Karotten und Zwiebeln in Pfeffersauce (Saisongericht)
- Papayasalat
- Gebratene Reisnudeln mit frischen Kräutern und Gemüse, Tofu und Suya in Knoblauch-Chilisauce
- Vogelnest - eine vietnamesische Spezialität (zweierlei knusprige Nudeln mit Tofu, Suya und Gemüse)
- BUN SA Suppe (Reisnudelsuppe) - ein Highlight in den kälteren Monaten
- Gebratener Tofu mit Zuckerschoten
- Gebratener Tofu süß-sauer mit Ananas
... und das war jetzt nur eine kleine Auswahl!

Lots of vegan options, very tasty - Edit
Easy to overlook this one as it's kind of hidden at the side of a parking garage. The interior is nice, the staff is friendly and they have lots of vegan options. The seitan is delicious, the vegetables are crunchy (not overcooked) and the portions are big. If you ask them to make your dish extra hot, they will do so and there's no kidding about it! Prepare for a nice burn!
