Mediocre at best - Edit
Server wasn’t up to speed on the vegan options. Ramen was super bland. Sushi was barely a step up from gas station sushi. And the “vege roll” was $10 less than the “vegan roll” that was basically the same thing. (WTF?) Vege tempura and seaweed salad is what it is…basic.

Not many vegan options around Kona, so this place can get you full in a pinch, but don’t go out of your way to go here.

Very vegan friendly - Edit
They were kind enough to let us swap out the miso soup in the combo although there may be an up charge. Would love to see an all vegan combo plate on the menu.

It's really 3.5 stars: 3 stars for taste and 4 stars for number of options.
Read moreBetween 2 of us for dinner, we ordered the Vege Ramen (fresh ingredients, tho needs more flavor), Curry Rice (deliciously salty, but it's a comfort food not for everyone), Taberu Rayu Tofu (cold tofu with garlic chili topping - my fave!), and the Vege Sushi Set (good but pricey). We didn't opt for the standard vegan options (miso soup, veg rolls, edamame, seaweed, etc.) because we wanted to try new stuff.
