Vegan sweets! - Edit
This is the first place I’ve been to which sells vegan Indian sweets. There were 6 vegan sweet options, or which we had mango barfi, besan barfi, and a couple of ladoos. They also sell bhajis and samosas which are mostly vegan.
Read moreThe mango barfi is very coconut flavoured- so much so I couldn’t taste the mango. Everything else was delicious. And very reasonably priced!

Amazing selection of vegan food! - Edit
Well over half of the pure vegetarian food on offer was actually vegan. We had a huge bag of starters and sides for £10 and everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. It's our new fave place when in Bristol.

Fully vegetarian. Tiffin Meals are great value. - Edit
I used to live up the road from Jeevans and it is well known locally for their amazing samosas. They do a good range of savoury stuff (samosas, bhajis and pakora) and obviously a huge range of sweets, as you can guess by their name.
Read moreMy favourite though is the Tiffin Meals, a selection of rice , 2 curry dishes and chappattis but you do need to have or buy a tiffin to carry it home in (the shop sells these too).
They have clearly changed kitchen chef since COVID started because the quality and taste of their curries has improved even further.
Since COVID they only do Take Away. Previously you could dine in also but, I have to say, it was never really properly set up as a restaurant, the lighting and decor was (and still is) very uninviting. But as a take away, yum!
Pros: Tiffin Meals, Friendly service, Clean

Very good - Edit
Very friendly family run restaurant/take away, with a great deal of vegan options. Excellent samosas and bhajis, but the Aloo Sagg curry was outstanding with great spicing and sause. Priced very reasonable and definitely worth a visit.

Best samosa in bristol - Edit
Jeevans sweets is is almost legendary. Plenty of people have tasted a samosa from here without realising it as often in summer you'll get someone who's bought a tray of them go round to the local parks selling them.

Good variety - Edit
I really like that the place is all veg, that everything vegan is clearly labeled, and that they have a big selection (even several of the desserts!). I just wish the food quality was a little higher, but the prices are low and so it’s definitely good for a cheap meal.

Tasty food good value - Edit
Very nice place, with friendly workers and very good value too.
Read moreThey have the best samosas. All the food is very tasty and they have plenty of vegan options.
Also a great variety of sweet, sometimes they dont have so many vegans but usually the sweet that looks like an apple is vegan.

Good but inconsistant. - Edit
I have only had the take-out things like sweets, bhaji, wrap and samosas. I find the sweets to be just very sugary. The take-out ready to eat things which aren't the samosa are way too heavily filled with gram flour, they are basically deep-fried gram-flour cakes. The wrap is extraordinarily greasy but tasty. The samosas are normally great and very fresh but it depends on who makes them. Sometimes they are too hot. Very unpredictable.

Cons: Shuts on Thurs but I respect why, Nothing healthy, Very unpredictable

Deliciously authentic food - Edit
Great variety of vegan options and virtually anything on the menu can be made vegan. The staff are always welcoming and happy to recommend dishes. They do daily Tiffin deals too which are affordable and filling. I highly recommend the Gobi Manchurian and stuffed paratha. If we buy takeaway it's often from Jeevan Sweets.
Read moreThey sell Indian sweets individually or by the box, many are vegan friendly.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Authentic cuisine, Huge variety of choice
