Amazing vegan pastries! - Edit
In a way I'm grateful that I don't have anywhere like this near where I live because the pastries/cakes taste so amazing that I'd probably be fairly on my way to have type 2 diabetes with the amount of times I'd keep coming back.
Read moreDefinitely worth a visit if you're vegan and have a sweet tooth. Lovely coffee as well.

Overpriced and small portions! - Edit
Can’t really recommend this place for brunch. We had the “seasonal grilly” and the “breakfast komplet”. The seasonal grilly was alright, but the breakfast komplet was definitely not worth the price. There was literally a half avocado with its peel on the plate and you couldn’t really eat it. Otherwise there was like a tbs of cream cheese and a tbs of peanut butter. The waitress was not really friendly and didn’t gave us any napkins or enough cutlery.

Delicious croissants and cute setting - Edit
Kaf is located in a very nice part of Norrebro, has a cute garden across the street and servers who are always friendly. I came in twice and got the typical danish pastry 'spandauer' which is a must try, the cruffin which was a first time for me and tasted ok and then the almond croissant which completely blew me away. This is how croissant should taste like! If I could I'd buy a bagful and take them home with me 😀.
Read moreSo good! Just a small complaint about the coffee; as the review before mentioned, the flat white tasted somehow sour. The next day I ordered cappuccino and it was much better 😃.
Pros: Lovely setting , Best ever croissant , Nice servers
Cons: Flat white not so good

Great hidden gem - Edit
Lovely place that is 100% vegan. Lots of seating options and beautiful outside too
Read moreMenu is rather small featuring all day breakfast. I had their bigger breakfast platter with nice bread roll (not toasted though), homemade Nutella and whipped salted butter, yoghurt with homemade granola, cheese and avocado
Nice avocado, and perfect spread! Loved the Nutella
Prices in Denmark are steep. Came over 22€ with coffee
Minus one star because I didn’t like the coffee. Ordered a flat white which was too sour (I have high expectations on coffee though). Default is oat milk
Pastry looked nice also featuring cheesecakes
Pros: Nutella , Avocado and seasoning
Cons: Coffee

Good, but uses dairy terms to sell non-dairy products - Edit
The cakes and pastries are delicious, so is the sourdough bread and the coffee.
Read moreMy one big problem is that they only say "100% plantbased" and not "vegan". I do not trust the term "plantbased", especially in Copenhagen, where I've seen dishes with meat labeled as "plantbased" just because they include a lot of veggies (not at Kaf, the cafe is fully vegan).
It is actually illegal in the EU to get customers to order and pay for "butter" and then actually serve "margarine" without telling the customer that they are not getting the product they paid for, but a substitute.
On Kaf's menu they write "butter", "cheese", "nutella", "grilled cheese", which is not legal in the EU. It really bothers me, as it has kept me from going there when I first saw it. I always assume that businesses adhere to current laws, so naturally, I assume this cannot be vegan. Also, "Nutella" is a trademarked non-vegan product, even if Kaf calls it "homemade nutella".
I only came in and asked whether everything really is "vegan" and not just "plantbased" after I've seen other vegans post about the cafe on instagram.

Best bite in Copenhagen - Edit
We had a cinnamon cruffin, the special - a sweet bun with strawberries and cream - and a savory sourdough bun with whipped butter and sliced vegan cheese. The cruffin was spectecular, a deep, almost funky cinnamon flavor and a dough that was more chewy than expected without becoming bready or healthy tasting. Amazing stuff. The savory bun was great too but I wish Id have gone with the Avocado topping, the cheese slice felt a little cheap for such a good bun because the sourdough quality was really topnotch. The sweet bun was also good. I also highly recommend the homemade Iced Chai Latte! Service was super nice too. I really would have loved to try more. My new favourite place in Copenhagen.

Bestes Frühstück in Kopenhagen - Edit

we tried the bun with avocado and a strawberry tart. Both were so good. Brew coffee was very mediocre so maybe stay with specialty coffees. A bit pricey like everything tends to be in Copenhagen.

Amazing Danish pastries - Edit
Lots of really nice pastries, including Danish seasonal specialties like kransekage around New Year's and fastelavnboller in the early spring. The staff is always super friendly and helpful, and the place has a very 'hyggelig' vibe to it!

Pastry Heaven - Edit
Nestled on a sleepy Copenhagen street (you’d miss it if you weren’t looking), Kaf offers extraordinary pastries in an ordinary package. We ordered the whipped cream-strawberry croissant and croissant-like pastry.
Read moreWhipped cream covers the croissant and hides fresh strawberries. The whipped cream was fantastic—light, fluffy, and sweet. The warm pastry flakes away as you bite, and the strawberries add a nice tang. The croissant-type pastry had a crispy exterior and a dense, warm interior. Mixed with a rich buttery taste; it was a true delicacy.
Kaf lowers expectations with its simple concept but blows you away with high-quality, attentive treats.

Amazing cordial vegan café! :) - Edit
This is an excellent vegan café with lots of different options. We (my dad and I) went for breakfast today there and the costumer service was fantastic, they were friendly as well as welcoming and open to answer any questions we had. We got a “brunch komplet”, “seasonal grilly”, a coffee for him and a “milky chocolate” for me. (All things we bought will be posted below except for the cheesecakes we got because we ate them before I could get a picture of them). The waiting time was good- we got our food and drinks relatively quick, the pricing decent. However, its best quality if not the homey feel of it is the food. Very vibrant, very inviting and most importantly, extremely tasty!! The food was delicious and the pastries (granted, I unfortunately only have a picture of the almond croissant we had — a must have if you go there!!) were nothing short of amazing either. I enjoyed every minute being there and I will be coming back, that’s for sure!

Good sweets, could use more savory options - Edit
My partner got a couple pastries here that he really enjoyed including the Kaf’s bun and a cruffin. I got the only savory option I saw on the menu, a toastie with vegan cheese, tomato and spinach. It was OK, but took a very long time and wasn’t a particularly good source of protein. It would be nice to see more savory options that include protein as well here.
Read moreAlso my Americano was pretty sour, almost fruity? Might have been the kind of beans. I didn’t really like it, but my partner liked it in his latte. YMMV
