Chill place - Edit
This little place has a very calming atmosphere with the relaxing music and the lack of hectic. At least when there are few people like it was the case when I was there.
Read moreWhile I wouldn't disagree with the people who said the portions could be bigger, I was starving when I got there and I left it completely satisfied.
What I really appreciate is the fact that none of the served packaging contains plastic; it is all paper, metal and ceramics. I also really liked the sauces on the tables that you are free to refill onto your meals as you please.
The atmosphere might be a little different when the place is full, but I'm not able to say.
Plus, little anecdote: Just as I was leaving, some guy came in asking specifically for meat and left after being told it was a vegan restaurant. Awkward.

I loooove Karma Kebab, I'm always super happy when i see their foodtruck at festivals as the kebab is always delicious.
Read moreAlso happy that there's a karma kebab restaurant in Amsterdam now as well. The only disadvantage is that it is quite expensive, as the portion size is not that big.
When i was here a few months ago i got also relatively little kebab in my pita. I decided to try again last weekend and the pita was filled way better, but i still find it expensive.

Very well worth finding this gem of a vegan restaurant. And be warned you need to go feeling hungry, the portions are big.

We enjoyed the Flaming Ragu (bbq sauce/glazed onions) and classic lowlander (red cabbage, garlic sauce, sriracha). With bitterballen and rendang croquettes on the side.

We had lunch here today before visiting one of the museums nearby. We both chose the Gado Gado pitta which we thoroughly enjoyed and are considering returning tomorrow to sample more of the menu. Perfect lunch #Veganuary

Amazing sauces and texture of the kebab meat. However, the servings are not so substantial. Additionally, the sandwich front loads all of the flavor and sauce early on and later in the sandwich is just dry. #Veganuary

Tasty kebab, it's a nice touch that they decorate the kebab when you eat indoors. Fries were crispy but way too fat for me. With better fries I am happy to give 5 stars.

This is a nice little restaurant with great kebab. And it is good for your karma 😉. I went there before a concert at Melkweg which is really close to this. The staff is nice and the loaded fries are awesome!

Karma kebab grew out of the food for festivals scene and still do fast vegan food at raves etc. I quite enjoyed the garish decor and interesting food options but the food itself was not up to the relative high cost (it is Amsterdam!). That said I did enjoy the kebab/wraps. Staff were friendly but watch out for the front door that opens out over the steep steps!

While I like Karma Kebabs food in general (and their fries especially). I am not a big fan of the concept. First, pita is such a general food that you can find anywhere and even make at home. Second the menu is - besides the pita’s - very limited. Third of all: for a food that is easy to make yourself, prices are insanely high. I will only go here again with a discount. The food is nice but not special enough to make up for the cost.
