Good cheap food! Recommend - Edit
Near / in the Night Market! So location is great. Food is straightforward. Different soups with fake meats or buffet - rice and different meats and vegetables.
Read moreFood was good. We had the buffet and had some seitan based meats and vegetable rice. No clue what we were eating but it was vegan and tasty so thumbs up!
They charge the buffet by some wierd concept based on the owner saying the price. Mine was 80k and the person I was with was 70k. I had more food. He had less but more meat I think. He was taller than me so maybe they charge based on height. No measuring by weight. So be prepared for a surprise price!
The soups are standard prices.
Pros: Food, Location : night market
Cons: No idea how much buffet will cost!

Super tasty food for an unbeatable price. - Edit
I was there surrounded by locals. They serve a variety of delicious soups like Pho, spicy „beef“ noodles etc. and it was so delicious and cheap. I took lunch dinner (same time 😇), had a water and paid 70k dong.
Read moreThey also offer snacks like crispy fried tofu slices (like crisps) for takeaway. I would eat here every day. I was amazed 😍

Local eats - Edit
We went three times and it was always good. They give you a plate of rice and then you can choose from the buffet items. The amount of rice you get seems to be dependent of your hight or body type, as my boyfriend always got double the amount of what I got.
Read moreWe did pay the same price every time we went, 45K a plate.
Would definitely recommend going before 12 pm as the food will still be warm. Menu items don’t get replaced during the day and the selection at night is rather small in comparison.

Tasty food for a good price - Edit
Finally a Vietnamese restaurant where you can choose what to eat! And that fills your stomach. There was a large selection of vegetables, tofu and fake-meat that we could add to our rice dish. Even spring rolls. You can put as much on your plate as you want, then the owners make a price.

Good and large selection - Edit
I’ve been here everyday nearly for 5 days and it’s been really good.
Read moreThere is a large selection and all very cheap. The most I paid was 60k. Some of the food was a bit too salty that I couldn’t eat it but couldn’t fault it apart from that.
Not the best customer service but I don’t speak Vietnamese so don’t expect a conversation if you don’t either! Lots of locals eat here so you know it must be authentic.
Pros: Very cheap, All vegan

Not an enjoyable experience - Edit
Me and my partner normally enjoy mock meats but this was a step too far for us. We got a plate of food from the buffet, which I think must have been sitting there for a very long time. Everything was stone cold and was either super sweet or very salty, or both! There was an overpowering taste of fish on everything which was very off putting too. The tofu was all cut into giant blocks and pretty unflavored, the rice was cold and very dry and the only available greens tasted pretty old. We were charged 140k for the honour (this included 2 small bottles of water)
Read moreI understand that there is a language barrier but we were met with an extremely frosty welcome which was a bit unnerving when we didn’t know how the place operated and were given no guidance.
Pros: I guess it’s cheap sometimes, The fake crackling was interesting
Cons: Not very fresh, Not welcoming environment

Garküche mit sehr guten Suppen und Buffet. Da keiner Englisch spricht, empfiehlt es sich die Karte (siehe Photos) vorher anzuschauen und im Internet zu googlen, was dahinter steckt.

our daily for two weeks! - Edit
We went every single morning and had almost every dish on the menu. It’s cheap and very yummy! Few times it got very busy with locals and you have to squeeze in.
Read moreI‘d not have the free iced tea (on the middle table) as some customers don’t care about hygiene…
The price of your rice plate will differ depending on how much you put on it. It’ll be judged by the lady, if you don’t trust her, just order noodle soup as there’s a menu with prices on the wall. The noodle soups (25-30k) are amazing! For rice with some sides you probably pay 50-60k but as stated above, it depends what/how much you stack on your plate. The buffet has significantly less choice after lunch time.
I don’t think that she rips tourists off as mentioned in other reviews. She seems harsh and is loud but is actually hilarious. I’ll miss this place. #Veganuary
Pros: all vegan, low prices, local experience

Very nice vegan restaurant - Edit
We went there in the morning around 9 or 10 am.
Read moreI just wanted to have a noodle soup. But when I entered the place, there were so many nice looking food. And she gave me plate on rice. And I could take whatever i wanted. She also gave me a small bowl of soup. It was very nice. Noodle soup was also nice. I want to try more noodle menu next time.
I read other reviews on happycow and google. Some ppl complain about overcharging and stuff. We had one pho, one plate rice with sides, two rice with sides take out and they charged us 150k. Thought it was fair enough.
They had many tofu and veggies even salad. I think it’s always nice to go there early when the food are still nice and fresh.

My favorite on Phu Quoc - Edit
Small buffet restaurant.
Read moreBasic setup, you get a plate with rice and can pick from buffet.
Price gets eyeballed and is super cheap (around 50k) for an entire plate with soup.
Food was always great, go there early to have more choices as dishes won't be filled up.
As well offers some a la carte items.
Many locals eat here - always a good sign 👍
Pros: Great food , Super cheap , 100% vegan with many locals eating there
Cons: No explanation on dishes due to language barrier

Lots of options - Edit
Their buffet is huge an you pay by plate. I had a bug plate of food and one spring roll. I just went for tofu and veggies and avoided the mock meat things. The egg was a surprise with carrot filling and tofu wrap. The roll was ok. They put a kind of herb that smells fishy so I didn't like it. I paid 50k in total. A bit higher than other places but don't know if I was overcharged or not.

Cheap, but nothing special - Edit
At this restaurant there is a very local atmosphere. Sometimes it's very loud and busy. So if you're are looking for a chilled place to chat with friends while eating, I can't recommend this place.
Read moreThere's no menu. You just ask for a plate of rice when you enter the restaurant and then you can pick some mok meat and salad from the buffet. As you already can the on the pictures, there variation is not really wide. The taste is nothing special. I got a small cup of soup beside my plate of rice.
I paid 40k (no drink). It seems that sometimes the charge you more depending on time, your look or whatever.
After all, the food wasn't the best, but it was cheap and okay. At least I didn't get any stomach problems, so I can recommend it against a small hunger. But don't expect to much.

Don't go there, total rip off - Edit
We went there and had a noudle soup and a plate of rice with a few different things and they charged us 100'000. I am happy to pay more than locals, however it is a very basic local place and it cost more than some fancy beach restaurants. And the food wasn't even great, pretty greasy and unhealthy fake meats.

Good Variety of Mock Meats - Edit
The food was filling and cheap. For 40k we each left unable to eat another bite, and were given soup alongside our plates of food. There was a wide variety of mock meats to choose from; fake chicken, fake beef, fake bacon, something wrapped in nori which tasted fishy (and more!). The food was cold but that's what we've come to expect when visiting buffets. Everything seemed clean. For me, the food was a little bit too greasy and heavy, but my boyfriend loved it so I think that's just down to taste.

Tons of mock meat! - Edit
Buffet style restaurant with a ton of mock meat options. The options change each time and you are charged by the amount of food you get. Been there twice and each time was a different price. Would recommend for mock meat lovers and those looking for a filling meal. Flavor is ok, not the best, but at this price it’s hard to complain.

Tasty but salty - Edit
Headed there immediately after hotel check-in - about 3PM, when the other two vege eateries nearby were closed, so I felt thankful to get a meal. Had not read reviews beforehand (too hungry to read!), so I had no preconceptions on arrival.
Read moreIt was not busy at that time, and I didn't see anyone running the shop. Finally a guy working on a laptop, who I thought was a customer, came over. I did not interpret any rudeness in the service - merely lackadaisical. Just seemed like the laid-back style of a beach town. After I pointed to the buffet, he handed me a plate of rice. After I filled my plate (skipped the mock meats), I asked the price and he replied 50K and I paid. Self-serve buffets without fixed price, where the calculation of the price is known only to the cashier, are not uncommon. In Taiwan, prices are commonly calculated by weight, but the price per weight is usually not apparent (unless close attention is paid to the scales). In addition places that don't weigh, but just visually inspect, are not uncommon. Not surprisingly, such places often lack consistency. Personally, I only expect price to be reasonable - and less than US$2.50 for a full plate plus summer roll, during off-hours, easily met that criteria.
Everything was tasty but, other than the summer roll and plain rice, everything was much too salty for me. Fortunately, the other two eateries nearby don't have that problem.

Pros: Central location, near night market, Open between lunch and dinner hours
Cons: Dishes are consistently heavily salted
