Truly unique dining experience - Edit
The Ethiopian food was truly unique and also offered vegan dishes, which i was personally very pleased and convinced by! The small vegetable dishes/pastes (in combination with the added bread) was incredibly filling and the way of eating by hand was a unique experience! A clear recommendation from me!

Unique, delicious food - Edit
I’ve never had Ethiopian food before but I’d love to have it again. I had the vegan mixed plate so there were multiple different flavours to try with the bread and everything was incredible. I wouldn’t go if you were in a rush as the service wasn’t particularly quick, but that didn’t bother us as it was a nice place to chill out at and the server was very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Great food, good service - Edit
We always look for Ethiopian food wherever we go, and Amsterdam has a wealth of choices. Kilimanjaro was a solid choice! Service is good and the waiter is fantastic! We ordered bread and dips to start, but they were disappointing small. The vegan plate was big though, and extra injera was free as long as you finished it! We left feeling stuffed!

Tasty food, friendly staff - Edit
I had the injera with mix veggie, lentils, it was nice. There are few tables outside, staff is friendly, vegan options marked but be sure to check what you receive (to do not get confused with vegetarian versions).

Really good vegan food - Edit
We went as a group and whilst there were lots of specific vegan options you could order we ordered a vegan tray for 4 people.
Read moreWhat comes out is a huge tray with a mix of curries and veggies on a layer of crepe/pancake type bread which you tear apart and eat with your hands.
I'd not had Ethiopian food before and it's now high on our list of foods to try when we travel. It was delicious, filling and healthy.
Can highly recommend the Mongozo beers which you drink in half coconuts.
The staff were also great and really switched onto veganism.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great beer, Good value

Really good food - Edit
I had the injera with tem temo (red lentils) and it was delicious! I had never tried Ethiopian food before but it was really tasty, I'd definitely recommend. The restaurant is small so quite intimate - definitely would recommend booking beforehand. The menu had some interesting cultural details surrounding the food, for example some historical facts which was fascinating as someone who isn't very familiar with the Ethiopian culture. Service was good with a relatively relaxed feeling, so was a lovely place to spend the evening.

Be sure to specify vegan - Edit
I visited Amsterdam and got to know the Ethiophian kitchen.
Read moreThe food was not bad, not too spicy, I found the injera very interesting and good. The atmosphere was nice, I liked the different table covers, the staff was kind.
When you order, be sure to specify vegan, because there are dishes on the menu with similar names, and not all vegan. At first we got a meat dish, but then they made us a new one. I was happy that they didn’t throw it away, the waitresses eated it.
Because issues like this I would recommend to consider going to a fully vegan restaurant if possible.

Delicious vegan options - Edit
There are a few vegan options - but not all gluten free. We tried the salad and veggie dish and it was amazing. They say they also make gluten free injera - but only if asked in advance.

Injera feast - Edit
The vegan mix injera came with a variety of lentils, chickpeas, pumpkin, kale, eggplant and carrot. It wasn't too spicy. It was just perfect and soothing. The staff were super friendly and the place had a lot of personality.

Awesome food - Edit
Cute and small restaurant with really nice staff that can answer you all questions about your food easily. The Mixed Injera Veggie is vegan and tastes really good. They also had a vegan carrot cake topped with a coconut cashew cream that was amazing.
