Off the beaten track but you will be rewarded for the effort. - Edit
The restaurant is housed upstairs in an artists workspace out of town, a little hard to find, but so worth tracking down.
Read moreThe French trained chef and owner is passionate about veganism and this is reflected in his food.
We went just before Christmas for his special festive menu and thought the food was superb, a very thought through menu which tasted excellent.
The chef's passion and vision is reflected in the food he serves and he deserves our support.
Go find it!

Unique Vegan Culinary Experience - Edit
Klorofüll is located on the second floor of a building, a 10 min. tram ride south from Old Town Tallinn, that caters for exceptional Estonian based artists. And likewise Klorofüll is truly exceptional when it comes to the art of cuisine. The chef is very well educated and even trained in France and Switzerland for a number of years before arriving in Tallinn relatively recently. The menu changes every day. The food ingredients are all fresh, sourced locally and prepared from first principles. The blending of tastes is perfect. To experience it all one has to have the full menu as we did. From starters to dessert, it was delicious. For starters we had a Vegetable Soup and a Tomato Salad dish. For mains, a Thai Curry with Noodles. For dessert, an Apple and Cinnamon. Kombucha too. An understated canteen environment with all the emphasis being on the food. Highly recommended. Very affordable. Excellent service. The best vegan culinary experience to be had in Tallinn for sure. An education also.

Lovely food and owner - Edit
The owner/chef takes great pride in his food that showcases the beautiful flavours of vegetables that he sources locally fresh from the grower. Don’t let the distance from the Old Town dissuade you from going; it is only a few stops on the tram or bus, which are very easy for tourists to use — Google Maps for the next tram or bus, and just swipe your Visa/Mastercard inside.

Fanciest canteen in town - Edit
Klorofüll is advertised both as the new canteen for the artists working in the legendary ARS complex, and a laid back restaurant on its own. To reach it after work in the city centre, you definitely have to make an effort, and I‘m glad they recently extended their closing time from 6 to 7PM, giving more people a chance to find their way to this part of the town, and to room nr. 208. We arrived an hour before closing time and had the restaurant to ourselves for most of the time. The menu changes daily and our surprise was cold millet salad with marinated peach for starters, warm millet with green lentil sauce and oven baked apple, and cold coffee. The starter, main and coffee together were 12,50€. Unfortunately, they were out of dessert by then. Millet is something that I used to have as a kid growing up in the Estonian countryside a lot, and it’s not too often that I come across it in a restaurant. Here, it was mixed with herbs, including peppermint, which gave it a zesty character. The „cold coffee“ was not the lukewarm leftover that it may sound like, but a concept of a refreshing drink without the ice that, according to the chef himself, „is not good for the organism“. In any case, it was very nice on a hot September day, and the visit in general left a good feeling.

Fine dining at a budget - Edit
The place is hidden in a building, entering it looks pretty much like a school food hall but dont be fooled. The chef is making amazing food that both looks great and is tasty like a fancy restaurant.

Creative menue for a very good price - Edit
We arrived one hour before closing and were the only guest in the restaurant. The owner was very welcoming and nice. We ordered parts of the menue and shared. We paid 21 euro (total, for two) including drinks and desert. The concept of the week was a local plant, that was part of the whole menue, even the drinks and the bread. Very creative, matching to the location in an old soviet art studio building. The food was tasty and we would definitely come back.

Wonderful experience - Edit
I had a wonderful lunch at Klorofüll, which has shifted from fine dining to a more casual and affordable concept. We shared the entire menu, including an appetizer, soup, main course, dessert, and a sweet pie, all for under €25 for two. The food was extremely tasty, making for a delightful experience.

What a great experience at this new vegan restaurant in Tallinn! We felt very well taken care of with the wonderful service, and the food was so fresh and delicious. If I were to be staying longer, I'd go back monthly to try the rotating menu. Prices are very fair.

Possibly becoming a Michelin ⭐️ restaurant - Edit
Great atmosphere, excellent service and very detailed food presentation. Some of the food choices were a bit confusing for me, like many different types of food put together on the same plate. One of the dishes was surprisingly spicy, I was ok with that, but some guests should be warned beforehand. I must mention that it took me tremendous effort to patiently wait and cope with super long and very detailed menu and food presentation. But all in all - very pleasant and interesting experience, we will be definitely back for next season menu in December.

Perfect fine dining - Edit
Went for a romantic dinner, no specific occasion, we just wanted to dress up a little, have good food and good wine. We were not disappointed. The food is delicious. The menu changes with the seasonal vedge but I encourage you to trust the chef and try as many different foods as possible. We had open sandwich, gimbap, laksa and gnocchi. I have no pictures as we were so submerged into having a fab night out.

We tested almost everything on the menu and everything was delicious and surpassed expectations.
We only stayed in Tallinn for 1,5 days but spend our 3 meals in this restaurant because we just didn't want to go anywhere else.
If you are on a budget, try to go for lunch. Starter, main, dessert and a drink for 12,5€.
If not, dinner is breathtaking and should be around 40€ for starter, main, dessert and drink.

Fancy vegan time out - Edit
I really liked the place and the food. The quality is amazing and the chef even takes the time to walk you through the culinary experience:
Read moreThe recipes are traditional but with a nice twist that makes it exciting.
But since it’s quite boutique the menu items run out and we ended up not having quite a few options available. That on top of the menu being generally small makes it even smaller to the point that it might feel frustrating to some people.
Pros: Food quality, Service , Overall experience
Cons: A lot of options missing, The menu seems a bit disjointed

Really nice hidden gem in Tallinn.
Read moreHas one three course menu for lunch for 12,50€. Portions are tasty, healthy and smallish, so you can easily eat the it all and continue your day.

Note, that the menu wasnt mediteranian as some mentioned here. Would say more homecooking meets southern flavours.
Pros: Taste, Idelogy, Atmosphere

Great potential, room for growth - Edit
This venue, despite its potential, sadly falls short in multiple areas, the most prominent being the menu design. The menu feels disjointed, a confusing blend of international dishes that leans more towards a potluck rather than a well-thought-out fusion. Furthermore, the lack of balance between light and hearty dishes is apparent and a clear opportunity for improvement.
Read moreThere are 3 starters, 3 mains, and 3 desserts, with each category featuring an Estonian dish. Unfortunately, the execution of these Estonian dishes is lackluster and lacking creativity. A prime example would be the potato mash and cutlet main, which is in dire need of a refreshing component and a visual makeover. The starters echo a similar sentiment, all leaning heavily on the heavier side with a stark absence of anything fresh.
A ray of hope is the Lao 'Jeow.' The flavors here stand out remarkably, however, the proportion of rice to sauce could be better balanced, as there were not enough sides for the generous serving of rice.
The monthly menu change leaves me hoping for improvement next time.
The staff, while well-meaning, could dial back their eagerness a notch. The persistent follow-ups came off more as awkward than genuinely attentive.
All in all, this restaurant possesses a lot of potential, but there is equally a lot of room for growth and improvement.

Lunch menu - Edit
Daily chancing lunch set menu. Lunch is the time chef plays and tests flavours and ideas. So our lunch was lovely, but it was little bit on the heavier side this time with potato salad starter, Risotto style main, big cookie to finish. I was missing fresh veggies salad, fresh herbs, since summer maybe little bit lighter desert with berries and fresh flavours from summer.
Read moreBut I still wanna give 5stars so that you go test this lovely place. I recommend to eat here. Dinner tasting menu is more carefully pre planned. Lovely place with relaxing atmosphere and spa like background music. Great service. I will visit again at dinner time.
